My cover has this exact same fit and I have a 24 model. I thought that's just how it fits on the bed. @RealTruck is this fit correct?
I'd be happy to take a closer look at this for you. If you're experiencing any excessive water intrusions, then adjustments may need to be made to the cover and rails. Feel free to PM me or email me at [email protected] and we'll get into it.

I just picked up my new 2025 Ranger 2 weeks ago today, and just this past Friday I installed the BAK Revolver X4S.

At this time I would caution against ordering that product until BAK has a chance to figure out what's going on. I have supplied them with numerous photos and measurements so they can investigate.

The bottom line right now is the the cover is not long enough to even reach from the front to rear edges of the side rails, and the rear edge of the cover is sitting in space above the lower front edge of the tailgate cover. The image below shows the gap and this is with the rear edge of the cover aligned with the rear edges of the side rails.

I can tell you this is not a new issue. There was a forum discussion last fall about fitment issues. I was part of it. The X4S and X4TS are the same except the rails have a track on them for accessories. The cover design was wrong and it was impossible to align the cover bolt tracks to the bolt holes on the rails. To their credit, BAK tried very hard, they sent me new rails, but it was clear the cover was the problem. Just a couple of weeks ago they sent me a new cover. I have not been home to install it but I am optimistic. I will say their customer service is excellent. Other than the issue noted herein, the cover fit well and provided “expected” protection from snow and rain. My (first) cover lines up similar to what I see in the pictures. I crawled inside the box with a. Light and had the door shut and that rear

seal does make sufficient contact with the edge of the tailgate. The tailgate closes perfectly against the rails and cover. I will add that I think the front foam seal provided is too thick to compress sufficiently and allow the rails to sit ideally against the bed rail. When I get a chance to install the newly provided cover I will use an aftermarket seal or cut down the foam where it makes connection with the rails.

A new parts kit has been developed for the 2025 Rangers, which included two foam seals.

Should we expect the rear vinyl edge of the X4S to rest on the top edge of the tailgate cap? I'm hoping that will be the case when my replacement cover ships.

Can someone tell me what's in the "modified parts kit" that was developed?

My X4TS just got here and now I'm concerned. Thanks

My X4S package only included the parts for a 2024 setup. According to BAK and their online manual, you follow instructions for 24 or 25 based on the stake pocket covers. My 2025 has the "24" stake pocket covers so the extra parts weren't needed. The 25 "kit" has a different bulkhead piece of foam, and 6 different brackets to connect the rails to the bed.

You can check post # 12 in this thread for the example.

My 2025 kit arrived today, one week sooner than estimated. Will hopefully compare both kits later after babysitting duties complete.

Uhhh I am also one of the '25s with the '24 bed rails, weird because my truck was built in February of this year. I might be lucky here. I will report back in an hour!

Mine was built the last week of February as well, so I wonder if anyone has seen this new 2025 stake pocket cover yet?

I am convinced they have that backwards.

Update: fitment might be an issue, might not be.

Question: what happens if I *dont* align the vinyl edge with the top of the rail and instead let the seal overlap a bit? It doesn't seem like water intrusion would be any better or worse. Either way, as designed and instructed, the X4S and X4TS do not fit this bed perfectly. More to come on that. The latching mechanism drove me absolutely nuts.

Also, based on what I see from the "25 parts kit" I don't see how that would make any difference at all with the overall length of the cover. Idc how you configure it, it's not going from the top of the rail to the tailgate tightly. What I perceive the different brackets being for is what I ran into, where there was no world in which I was getting 1/8" clearance on both sides for the latch to close.

I stopped by my Ford dealer and looked at a '24 Ranger on the lot, and the stake pocket cover matched the picture in their instructions, which is also the same as what's on my '25.
