BAK Revolver X4S Fitment Issues on 2025 Ranger Lariat

I just picked up my new 2025 Ranger 2 weeks ago today, and just this past Friday I installed the BAK Revolver X4S.

At this time I would caution against ordering that product until BAK has a chance to figure out what's going on. I have supplied them with numerous photos and measurements so they can investigate.

The bottom line right now is the the cover is not long enough to even reach from the front to rear edges of the side rails, and the rear edge of the cover is sitting in space above the lower front edge of the tailgate cover. The image below shows the gap and this is with the rear edge of the cover aligned with the rear edges of the side rails.

I almost installed mine today. I had downloaded the online instructions to review. They were different than the printed instructions shipped with th3 product. There is apparently a 2025 parts kit that should have been included.

I just installed the BAK Revolver X4TS last weekend and had the same issue with wrong instructions. I got mine installed and have the same gap as your photo above.

Here is the measurement info included in my email to BAK support:

Here are a couple of overhead photos that I just took. I also took measurements of the side rails and vinyl cover length from front to back, from just the front vinyl cover edge to the rear.

On the driver side the rail is 59-7/8” long and the vinyl-to-vinyl edges measurement is 59-3/16”. So the cover is 11/16” short relative to that side rail.

On the passenger side the rail is 59-13/16” long and the vinyl-to-vinyl edges measures 59-5/16”. So the cover is 8/16” short relative to that side rail.

The gap between the back edge of the vinyl cover and the higher part of the tailgate is 7/16”. To be fully supported by the tailgate that edge of the cover needs to be around 7/8-1” longer. Adding more up front to align with the front edges of the side rails would be another 1/2-11/16”. So overall it would seem the cover is roughly 1-1/2” too short.

I contacted them about the ‘24 vs ‘25 instructions based on the stake pocket covers. My ‘25 has the ’24 stake pocket covers, and they said to follow the ’24 instructions. That was a good thing as my package only included the ‘24 parts.

What is the difference between the 24 and 25 stake pocket covers? I have a 25 and they look the same as the 24.

Makes sense. I have a 25 that looks like A also. My bed rail caps are the thicker ones like in A also.
