apple car volume

am I the only one experience this annoying issue with apple car volume being ok for music etc but being too low for whatsapp message listening?

I usually have volume set at 6, and it works nicely for anything except whatsapp

yet, does anyone know any trick or shortcut to go back to ford radio after listening to whatsapp message?most of the iphone app when closed release the volume back to the radio, whatsapp does not and it forces me to click on the radio button

Try turning off the equalizer on the phone. This works most of the time.
