Why I agree in general car washes are horrible but I can say around 15 years ago I saw a local wash where people were running their exotic cars, limousines etc. I tried my ride and quickly bought a monthly pass.
I do wax it with a graphene ceramic mix and one coating lasts all the winter months with zero swirls or scratches...
I consider myself lucky as before that all winter long I used the spray washes and felt like an ice cube driving home
Just gotta find the right wash

Initially got 4 coats of ceramic pro 9H over my PPF clear wrap. I think others have suggested some other good ceramic coatings. After curing, they said to try to avoid auto touch or touchless washes and the self-service wand-type soap or wax application because it has harsh higher-PH chemicals.
Because it gets fairly cold in MN, I do use their straight water wash from the wand and have almost perfected doing a bucket wash with my own soap (Americana global) as quick as their soapy brush could wash it. If no one is waiting, I dry with microfiber. Otherwise I finish after the truck thaws again in the garage, sometimes with their detail spray.

I also found a detail shop in one level of the heated underground hi-rise ramp in an office building connected to the skyway where I work. I do feel a bit jealous/intimidated parking by the GTD's and other cars 3 or more X my purchase price waiting for washing or detailing. If I really want to splurge, I leave it there (valet mode) during work and they will use my soap and detail spray and use the foaming two-bucket method.

Will do my shop's ceramic 1-year warrantee (1 coat 9H) maintenance service on its anniversary in April.
Their aftercare suggestions can be helpful even if you don't use their product.

Appreciate the clarification. I use the pressure washer for rinsing in one hand and hand wash with the other. As long as the time is running it's not a concern at any place I've been. I interpret handwashing as don't fill a bucket and use the space without paying while you are doing it.
Just sold our self serve car wash. You are exactly right. Don't be in the bay bucket washing without the meter running; no owner will complain.

My local drive through wash has the option to request the roller brushes be “retracted” due to the width of the Raptor.

Saw this old thread while looking for issues with drive-through washes. I think I read in the owner’s manual they say tire and/or body damage can occur due to the wide track of the RR? Has anyone had any issues with this? I usually hand wash, but if it’s late after being off road it sure is nice to run through a wash to knock the dust off and them hand detail the next day or later the same day. I’m surprised to see some people have driven through without issues?

The auto wash that I use doesn't have a track so no wheel or tire damage. You drive in it sprays the undercarriage and then you stop and the wands go around the vehicle. Touchless all the way.

I’ll look for one like this! All of them around here (Dallas area) have tracks. Thanks.
