Well, glad I am not the only one. I was blaming my phone and then my truck so guess that answers that. This is a very frustrating issue that Ford needs to work on.

Same with Sync4a and B&O. Now throw a Galaxy S23 and advanced Bluetooth hearing aids in the mix and you have a pretty F-upped mess. My aids need a minimum of Android v10 and bluetooth v5. Connects sometimes, then disconnects. Try to answer the phone by pushing the phone icon on the screen with the car's android activated and sometimes it connects to my hearing aids and then all by itself disconnects or reappears on the B&O Speakers. If I use my cell phone to answer the call its like playing roulette - dont know where the hell the sound will appear - if at all!

Have not tried to connect via cable yet. will try that next to see what happens. Even if it works it kind of beats the purpose of the entire "wireless" system!

I've got the same problem. I've found the if I switch to using the FM radio for a couple minutes then switch back CarPlay audio comes back up.
It was worse with my iPhone 15. There were several places around town where CarPlay would just disconnect altogether. At least that doesn't happen anymore with the iPhone 16.

It has happened twice now, I get in the truck, CarPlay connects and I can see messages, maps etc. But, I have no volume for any sound source, ITunes or podcasts or phone calls. I turn everything off and still nothing. I can’t even get sound on my iPhone. Only thing that works is to power down my phone and then re-power it. Then it works like it should. Any ideas what is happening?
This happens to me sometimes. I use the stereo to disconnect from CarPlay and then reconnect. It pretty much always works then.

I often listen to the radio instead of the audio from my phone and only notice this when my wife calls and I can't hear her or respond.

Most of the time, everything works fine, but this happens often enough to be annoying.

Yep getting this pretty regularly. Very frustrating. I've found switching to FM for a while fixes it, will try airplan mode.

I got a software update today. It said it was an improvement to how data is Transmitted and Received. Don't know what issues it will help

I have the same issue, I go into the phone list and disconnect carplay, wait a couple seconds, then reconnect. It reconnects the sound. Very frustrating issue.

My Raptor did an over air update today the console looks a little different. Apple Car play seems more stable so far.

My Raptor did the over the air update and I updated to iOS 18.2 and all seems to be working the way it should (yes this violates every rule to software upgrades). Everytime I get in and start it up now the phone connects like it is supposed to. Before it would get lost and require turning off Car Play and then turning it back on. And the issue with no sound anywhere is gone. It did require resetting up Siri on the phone.
