None of your business!
My Tremor will be paid off come Feb 2025...was planning to get the new Ranger Tremor (and in hybrid) but as of now, looks like US is NOT going to get 1)Tremor trim..... 2) No hybrid engine. Foreign markets like Pacific/Asia are getting Wild Peak and plug-in hybrid. Raptor is overkill for me and frankly, $70K marked up dealer price for a mid size truck, is not my cuppa tea. The non Raptor trims look meh, imo.

As someone who uses the truck for work commute, gas milege is very important to me and living in CA means dealing with 'forever' $6/gallon pump prices. My current Tremor gets me 21mpg average with cheap gas. But small peeves are tiny rear seats, no rear vents, outdated interior, lack of current tech leaves a lot to be desired. The new gen mid size trucks, imo, are perfectly sized and future proof with new tech for the next 5 years at least.

I saw the new off-road Trim Taco released on most sites today and really really like it. Hybrid engine avaible by next year, good looks, new tech, appears Toyota will offer full 100k for the hybrid engines. Heck , my neighbor just bought the new TrailBoss Colorado and it looks so much better than Ranger (he said even the gas mileage is actually better than the specs).

I was really hoping that Ford would come out with a Tremor trim (and hybrid) for the 6th gen but with the current union situation, I don't see anything happening till the next 2-3 years and by then, they'll be well behind the competition.

OR I guess I can just keep my Tremor, put a 2" inch with 33's and call it a day ;).

Rant out.....

Why is Ford no longer offering the Key-less entry key pad?

They are. It's listed under exterior options in the configurator.

I think the new trail boss is sweet. But I’m not a believer in gm right now, they seem to be cutting a lot of quality corners.

I am open to the taco, but would have to drive it. Price and price. Let’s see how much they shaft us.

Honestly I think I’ll be happiest in the ranger. Interior is exactly what I want. The tech is good. I’m not in the market for like 2 years anyways, so honestly just waiting 2-3 years I bet things will be different, probs for the worst with price, so we will see.

the moment someone comes out with a reliable electric mid sized truck with 400+ miles, I’m getting that. It’ll probs be rivian’s r2 platform.

maybe in 2 years the r1T will have a cheaper trip

Rivian I hear is ridiculously expensive to have repaired. So you are screwed outside of warranty.

Yep. They integrate the fenders and bedsides into the cab so you have to break it down all the way to properly replace a panel. That’s before you talk about mechanical issues.

Not to mention if you don't live near them you are pretty screwed too

Unless Tacomas stop making you feel like you’re sitting in the floor it’ll never be an option for me. I’m excited for my Raptor. Been waiting three years for this!

All the reviewers I've seen mention it's remedied in 2024 Tacoma.
I sat in one in Vegas and it’s better but still lower than Ranger or Colorado and too low for my liking.

If could ever see the build configurator on '24 Tacoma, I would consider. All 3 new mid sizers seem about equivalent to the point that my favorite differentiator on Ranger is 4' width between wheel wells, and biggest issue is 3 gallon smaller fuel tank - neither of which would almost ever matter in practice to me.

I'm concerned about all 3 of their reliability being so new and complicated. I'd probably error on the side of Toyota - though their track record for new vehicles is far from stellar it seems. If the current Tacoma had even a couple more inches of legroom, I'd probably just settle on an SR.
