I did the first oil change last weekend with 1K miles on my 2024 Lariat. I have had a 2019 & 2020 Ranger and do the maintenance on all my vehicles. You can see the filter from under the truck. I tried losing with strap filter wrench, no go. Not much room to work with under and decided most prod filters are torqued on so tight I would do the usual remove wheel cover. This is a bit of a pain because you have to remove the complete cover. Unlike the previous Ranger where it was 4 or 5 grommets to drop the rubber to get to the filter, the new cover has a bunch of screws and a bunch of grommets that are some hidden. It was painful and still don't have a lot of room to work with after the cover removal. Cup wrench got it lose. Now that I have done the initial I will try from under without removing the wheel cover. It will be interesting and the oil ramp can be deceiving as to where the oil actually falls.

I'll add I also did a quick break in oil change on mine.

Oil filter dump ramp did work cleanly, but, good luck figuring out where it's going to go until after you experience it. Try setting up the catch pan about a foot or a little more, behind the wheel.

I was able to get the filter by hand through the hood. I have pretty long arms but I suspect quite a few people can get it this way. Stand on a stool or something to get some extra reach and go for it. Seemed a lot easier than taking off the wheel cover.
