I installed dash can everything seemed fine. Today I went to fix some wire rattling issues and then later I started car and pop comes up stating advanced lighting features temp unavailable see manual. Manual has nothing in. and what does Temporary mean?

The issue i notice is my headlights seem pointed down have really poor visibility with lights on and they are not moving when i turn. I check fuse, seems fine. Disconnected battery but nothing seems to fix. Also Brights do not work.

So the issue started after the dash cam installation. Maybe that's the root cause of the issue.

Take it to the dealer. Most likely a sensor. Probably a simple and quick fix. No need to write off the truck due to a potential simple fix

remember cars today aren’t really tested post manufacturing. All it may be is a plug that was fully seated which as come loose… or maybe you knocked something loose while farting around with the dash cam install

Not right away I installed it yesterday morning. Drove this morning and wires were rattling so adjusted wires. then later tonight went to store and popped up.

Just went out to see if working after hour of being off and still not working also noticed brights dont work. Fog lights work.

So I think I maybe found issue, I used fuse tap and had it pointing down which sounds like it should be pointing up. Could that have short circuited something?

Check the following fuses:
#17 inside the truck - Adaptive front lighting module.
#21 under the hood - Automatic headlamp leveling.

Did you have the cover off behind the rear view mirror?

CHecked those fuses. 17 is actually right next to fuse 35 the one tapped.

No the cover is still on rear view mirror, I thought about tapping there but figured fuse box safer.

I believe that just determines which leg of the fuse you are drawing power from. Did the camera work when the fuse tap was in this orientation? It seems like it should not work if installed to draw power from the wrong side - when in an unused location with no other fuse present.

Yea it did. I read another thread about just letting it sit over night and error going away. Ill give that shot if not will make appt at dealer as another thread user had same use and module had to be replaced.
