Well not totally, I only get 1 engine style 2.0Litre single turbo diesel. No options just variants. Take Care
Yeah that’s the downside base on your country but I would love to get Lightning Blue over Velocity Blue any day but again Velocity Blue is just as pretty.. just not my absolute favorite

Just an update
I test drove a Colorado ZR1 (and I may test drive a ZR2 today) . First, I love the exterior. Hands down. It is a mean looking truck. I now wish the Rangers were even more aggressive looking. There are nitpicky things that I don't like about the interior (seat comfort, accents). Ultimately though, there are two things that I can't seem to get past. First, is the engine & fuel economy of 16mpg. For me, this truck will primarily be normal driving and off-roading only secondarily (I don't have room to store a get-around car). I also like the idea of Ford's 10-speed (though I've never driven one). The other thing that I don't like about the interior is simply the feel (or rather -- something I just can't put my finger on)...
I've owned a Ford the last 13 years, and truthfully most of my life. The Ford steering wheel feels like home to me.

So, that leaves me with two options; The RR or the Lariat. The sensible side of me tells me to buy the Lariat. The other side of me is more of the mind; "If your gonna do it, do it right and get the Raptor." I don't like to spend money, but I go all-in when I do. So, cost isn't a huge factor (I'll put half or more down anyway).

In my perfect world, I'd get the Lariat to make the inside look like how I want (beige interior), I'd make the outside look like the Raptor (Fenders and Grill), and I would probably get the 2.7L engine to balance power and fuel economy.

I'm not in a hurry, and truthfully (because I'm waffling right now), I'd prefer to wait until the 2025's are announced. Speaking of which, does anyone know if this 'ORV' truck will be the Tremor?
Honestly I really want a test drive on the MT 24 Tacoma

The one thing ford has mastered is the setting up controls for the driver that makes sense. Always super intuitive and even more so for towing controls.

Personally i was in your boat with the Lariat or raptor but being real the Lariat with FX4 is gonna handle just about anything thrown at it. small bump in tire size and some cooler wheels and itll be fine if not more so at anything youll realistically throw at it. Also you can use plan pricing and for me i have access to Aplan so it makes the lariat even better for the dollar compared to the RR.

Thanks for the perspective. This is my thinking exactly, and the more I hear this the more solidified it is in my mind that this is what i want to do. Thanks!

Who knows what colors they might offer in 2025. Which might be a reality for a lot of guys and gals on here.

Up here in Canada the Raptor is $80k+ and I got a Lariat with FX4 package and a few other options for $59K. I also didn't want or need the full time 4WD on the Raptor and it would be a pavement queen here as there is no place close to use it to it's full protentional.

i believe if the Raptor was more readily available, this thought process wouldn’t even be a option for many. Being that it’s harder to acquire it’s made guys accept a Lariat or XLT with possible add ons.

Oh, I absolutely believe that to be true. I started calling around the minute I decided that I was in the market for a truck and saw the RR. It wasn't until I was forced to take a step back evaluate exactly what I needed did I realize that it's really wasted on me. I live in Wisconsin and I'm too nervous to go trapsing through the woods and brush with a new truck. If I lived in the desert it might be a different story.

maybe? but the reality is they will never produce raptors like they do normal trims. its how it goes for f150s and broncos as well. That and the fact that the RR is priced pretty close to a equally equipped Lariat just the same as a F150. Right now you don't have the option to hunt a deal at a dealer so your stuck with looking at MSRP. raptors rarely get wiggle room but you can sometimes find a lariat or decently equipped trim priced to sell.

When the Lariat is fully spec'd out, it's only $5k cheaper than the Raptor. If you're planning on a lift and new wheels, that difference disappears quickly. Now you're left with something that costs as much as a Raptor without the suspension and all the Raptor goodies.

People keep talking about a Tremor in the future but I don't know how it's possible. It would have to slot between the Lariat and Raptor, which would only make it like $1-2k cheaper than the Raptor, or they'll have to raise the Raptor price by $10k.

I wouldn't put them raising the Raptors price $5-10k past the ole FoMoCo at this point. Look at the BRaptor.

Good points. Here are my thoughts for what it's worth.
re: $5k cheaper than the RR --True, though it seems near impossible to pick one up this year. And, if you can get them -- It also seems dealers mark them even higher. Maybe that will change though.
re: Slot between Lariat & Raptor. I actually suspect the Raptor will raise in price. There was that video about the ORV being released sometime this year and we know (were told) that the 2.7L engine will also be released at some point. I'm not sure if ORV is code for the Tremor or if ORV and Tremor are two separate things though.. ??

So, I think you are right. I do think the price range will spread. And I think that Ford likely hasn't done it already because they likely don't want to rock the boat (ie canceled orders of RR's and perhaps other models) while they are trying to catch up. (ie get through Q1 and see how the sales
numbers look)

All just my intuition.

The Xplan is not available on Raptors.
You get about $2000.00 off with xplan on a lariat.

Mine was $51,530. MSRP xplan is $49,625.
MSRP is now $51,635. Xplan is now $49,726.
Thanks for the x-plan estimate. I have a February build date with vin# assigned for my x-plan Lariat. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t get pushed back 😃
