My 04 F150 did it's last job, by putting my 24' boat in the water. The next day drove to the Poconos in pa. and the motor gave out. Still needing to pull my 5500 lb. boat and trailer I went and purchased my 24 Ranger. Back to size maybe not the same size but very close. What do you think.

I didn’t sense a lot of difference between my F150 & my 24 Ranger. Biggest difference is interior storage space. The center console, rear underseat storage and glove box are HUGE by comparison. I used to keep an 80v 18 inch chainsaw under the rear seat.

I agree, the 150 is wider with more inter space and the rear under seat storage is bigger. My 150 not being a crew cab is smaller in the back seat.

You're right, they are very close. A quick google search shows my old 03 F150 Super Cab was 12" longer 4" wider and 1" taller. The Ranger sure seems to take up as much room in my garage as my old my F150 did. The biggest difference is the wheelbase being 10" shorter. The Ranger is so much easier to park and maneuver than my F150.

I'm retired now and no longer need the full size of a new F150, the 24 Ranger with my towing needs is a good fit.

retired with a home hobby, casting hard to find parts for muscle cars and vintage old toys, etc.
I sold 2 vehicles and replaced them with my 24 Ranger Lariat. Said goodbye to my 2015 Corvette, had it for 10 years and just had no more interest at age 73. My 2001 F-150 XLT, supercab, I also had since new..obviously I keep my cars and trucks a LONG time. Pretty sure the Ranger will be my last new vehicle if I keep it for 10 years God willing. Sizewise, the Ranger sits a bit taller due mostly to tires I think, but the bed of course is a smaller one, but I no longer need to haul much of anything so far. Sure do love the ride!

@CobraboyHB I'm right there with ya! Sold my built 1993 Mustang GT (38k miles) & my 2012 F150, got a '25 Ranger. Mustang was lots of fun, but PITA to smog due to being modified, even with CARB parts. Only drove it 100 miles or less annually, so I was paying insurance and registration just for the sake of saying "look what I have". F150 was great, but with only the wife and I around now, it's more truck than we needed. Hope all of our camping gear fits in the Ranger's smaller bed.

The Ranger does sit pretty tall so I installed side steps and that was a big help for me and the wife getting in and out.

I agree. Trucks have gotten larger over the years. My Ranger is very close to my 2011 Silverado 1500.

Looking at the numbers, my RR is wider than the 2nd gen F-150 Lighting I had. Obviously crew cab is longer but it sure feels as wide.

The real contrast is pulling next to a 1st. 2nd. or 3rd gen Ranger.

Full size trucks now are HUUUUUUUGGGEE!!!
