Hey guys, finally got my 2024 RRaptor over the holidays. Hoping to build to 500+hp. Im torn between the Process west, dynomotive, or S&B high flow air boxes. usually with K&N filters in the box.

For intercoolers im torn between Process west (claims to be the biggest but also most expensive), Whipple, Cobb, or fenix. No exhaust upgrade for now

I am going to be doing all the install work myself so ease of installation is a factor, other than that I just want the most power for the lowest price and ease of installation. I am getting the ford performance tune that they offer so I dont void my warranty.

HUGE discussions about all those on the forum, bunch of threads.

personally I haven’t started building on power yet, but I have been looking around and yes, as far as Intercooler go, process west seems to have done a superb job with their intercoolers, but I think i would select the cobb.
if I remember correctly, all the others require some sort of trimming or mod around the intercooler to be able to fit it nicely.
CAI wise, I’m waiting to see what K&N and S&B will come up with. AFE seems to be proposing one right now, but I want to see what happens once most of the big manufacturers out there are proposing to finally pull the trigger on one.
Good luck on the build !

What is with some of the prices though. I mean $1500 + for a CAI. I mean that's not really a lot of money, but really? I ordered the aFe one for like $600.

The prices just seam laughable lately. I mean everyone got on the Covid shortage crap and prices have not changed since. But as I always say more power to the businesses that can get it out of the consumer. It is the consumer's fault really.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But a BS intake and bigger intercooler isn’t going to get you to 500hp.
It might get you about 5hp.

I would consult with your tuner, they probably have vetted parts that work best

Not disagreeing entirely - but your claims lack any data and are random estimates at best...

Encryption Broken!!! | Bronco Raptor Makes 500HP w/ 5 Star Tuning & HP Tuners

@ 12:40 dyno showing nearly 500hp with S&B intake on same power train (Bronco Raptor 3.0 Ecoboost) with a S&B Intake. 5star comment reply to first post stating the RR might produce slightly more power all else being equal. This is done with decrypted ECU using HPTuners software. No idea where they are on development for the RR yet. Going to have to be custom tuned, and to @Mad_Motorhead's point - consult your tuner for best upgrades for goals and what they plan to perform.

To OP - No way you are seeing these numbers with the canned FP tune and couple bolt ons.

Process west is a joke. I wouldn’t spend a penny for there stuff with those prices. Sad that people are that stupid to spend that much money on an intake with no specs of it on the website.

Most of us are waiting for our AFE intake, it's in pre production and due to be released anytime now

I’m currently running the FP tune and the COBB intercooler, and like others, I have the AFE intake on order.
You’re not going to see 500 ponies with that equipment, but you will get a solid increase over the stock numbers, and the reliability needed for a daily driver. You can easily get to the numbers you’re looking for, but it’s going to take down pipes, larger injectors, and a custom tune, and at that point reliability is a crap shoot. I’m going to stick with the basics, and hopefully enjoy driving my RR for many years to come.

It is mainly the custom tune that does it. I would do something like that but am not willing to buy and put a new ECU in my truck.

I wonder if an "after the ECU inline tuner" could achieve results?

Exactly. What would you say you would be at after the AFE intake as of horsepower

As many others have now stated on here, no tune will allow just an intercooler and air box upgrade to get you to 500hp.
The main issue you’re going to run into is fueling, not air.
