I just ordered a 2024 Lariat. Does MY24 have the Auto-Hold brake when you go to a stoplight, or stop sign? I really miss that from my Bronco Sport I used to have!

I believe it’s included if you have CoPilot 360

It doesn't seem to be listed under Ford CoPilot 360 on B&P. Also for some reason on the Lariat it doesn't list CoPilot 360, but I assume it's just included with the trim level?

So maybe I am a bit brash, but is that where we have gotten to with cars? People can't be bothered to keep their foot on a brake pedal?

I can't say, in my entire life, I encountered a situation where my car became less enjoyable because I had to hold a brake pedal with my foot.

You might have some points to a manual transmission in rush hour traffic in a major city.

But a brake pedal?

Just another feature everyone is forced to pay for but don't want. Nothing is free and its especially stupid when some features are tied to other features.

Yikes, no. It's not a need, but once I had it I didn't realize how much I actually liked it until I no longer had it again.

Once again, not a need, but a nice to have. I like vehicle technology, sorry if you don't.

Where did I say I did not like vehicle technology?

It can be inferred when you say "Just another feature everyone is forced to pay for but don't want"

Sorry if I misread your tone, I just like all tech features and didn't know if this had it or not.

I can see that being a problem when getting in another car. You program yourself to that then you forget that its not on another vehicle. Losing your self awareness. Ride a motorcycle and you will become self aware. We do not need lane departure and blind spot technology and on and on. I laugh people cannot use a standard transmission.

Yeah, I definitely still check over my shoulder regardless of blind spot tech. It's too dangerous on the roads.

You're right though. I was a bit caught off guard when my Bronco Sport had it, and my Full-Size Bronco didn't.

Hoping the 24 Ranger does have it though, cause I did personally enjoy it.

I was trying to remember where I saw it and I just thought of it. It was in one of the review videos either here or in Australia where they were showing the Driver Assistance menu in the touchscreen. I saw Auto Hold and had to look it up because I didn't know what that meant.

I do admit I am not the best at backing up at times. The rear camera and back up assist would be helpful for me.

If you find that video, I'd love to check it out! I also wonder if they would put that feature in AU and not NA. It would be weird if they didn't, but yet I wouldn't be surprised!

I do see it in this video from AU:

Hopefully, it makes its way to the NA version!

I think it was this one, but the one you posted has it, too.

Interesting that none of the NA hands on videos dive into the touchscreen much.

All these driver assistance technologies can be turned off or on. Sure it’s fun to do it all yourself but if you turn everything on and continue to drive how you would normally it effectively makes your drive many times safer and lot more comfortable. Limits fatigue and mitigates many small errors you may not realize you are making.
