First off big shout out to Scoutdog44 for being the first to install and document his experience with Katzkin’s Degreez ventilation system and answering some of my questions before taking the plunge. I wanted to share my experience as well.

Ordering

First off Katzkin’s website as of right now, still doesn’t show the exact Ranger Raptor seat when you are configuring which makes visualizing your choices hard. In fact there are a lot more options to make then the website shows. I would recommend going to autoseatskins.com to research all your options. After picking out everything I wanted, I then contacted Katzkin to place my order, and they arranged install at a shop close to me.

My Choices

I opted for XT Leather in black which is supposed to be more durable, with suede inserts around the seat to match the dash, and salsa colored stitching to try to match code orange as close as possible, I also added a double hex tech stich pattern as I think it matches well with the ac vents, and of course need the perforation for the ventilated system. With installation and everything it was like $4,200, but I did get a lot of options lol, you could probably knock a 1,000 off without all my add ons.

Experience

The seats themselves look great, the leather isn’t as soft as OEM, but feels thicker and more durable. The ventilation works amazing! Ive had stock ac seats in my Challenger and Mustangs in the past and the Katzkin get a lot cooler than them.

An important note the LEDs on the ventilation seat switch are really bright! I had originally planned to put the switches behind the drive mode and parking brake controls on the center console, but the installer advised against it and glad he did! As it would be a big distraction.

Overall very pleased with my purchase as the ac seats are a must for me in Houston, TX

While I appreciate ventilated seats in the summer. They are a nightmare to clean if anything gets in the holes. I’m glad Ford skipped ventilated seats in the RR.
Hell, they don't have to be ventilated. I hate cleaning the perforated leather in my wife's car. Her long hair gets stuck in the holes, and it doesn't just pull out.

Looks good. Waiting to see how my first summer goes in SoCal before making a decision. It gets up to about 110* where I live sometimes. I priced it out a month ago. AC unit basic vented solid black for $3,200. Kinda pricey

They are very nice, congratulations! I have a question… how does the ventilation work? Is the air blown or extracted? I mean… is cold air blown onto the back, or is it pulled away from the back?

Do they also offer heated seats or only the perforated ventilated option.

Perforated seats are the worse!

I had a Ram Rebel before the Ranger, God forbid you ever went to the beach- You could vacuum and Vacuum..

Then a few weeks later you go and smack on the seat and you'd still get sand coming out of the holes. :explode:
