Welcome Lighting When Door Opens

When I open any door on my 2024 XLT, pretty much all of the external lights come on, which is annoying when in a dark campground at night. Does anyone know of a way to disable this? Ford's support line could not help.

I'm a newbie, so please direct me if this is posted in the wrong place. Thanks.

The off/on/auto switch on the ceiling between the two lamps

Sadly, that switch controls interior lights only - it has no effect on outside lights. At least on my truck.

If your truck is equipped with the Zone Lighting, the manual says:

Apps menu:

1. 
   Press the button on the touchscreen.

1. Press Zone Lighting.

Settings menu:

1. 
   Press the button on the touchscreen.

1. Press Zone Lighting.

A On and off button. B Contextual help. C Exterior lamp indicators. D All zones on and off. E Individual zones on and off.

You can use zone lighting when your vehicle is on or off. When your vehicle is off, the lighting switches off after a certain period of time to avoid draining the battery.
Note: You can also use individual zone controls to switch on each zone.
Note: Make sure to remove exterior lighting covers when using zone lighting.
Note: When your vehicle is off and the timer has one minute remaining, the turn signals flash six times.
Note: Indicators on the touchscreen illuminate when the lights outside of the zone lighting control are on.
Note: You can remotely control the zone lighting using the Ford mobile app.
Note: Vehicles without mirror puddle lamps only have two zones.

Zone Lighting Settings
Scroll down within the zone lighting application to access zone lighting settings.

Enable Auto lamp Override
This setting allows the vehicle to override the auto lamps when zone lighting is on.
When you access zone lighting for the first time, you can choose this setting. You can change this setting at any time.

Include Reverse Lamps
This setting turns the reverse lamps on when you switch the rear lighting zone on.
Switch this setting off if you have a backup alarm installed to prevent the reverse lamps from turning on and sounding the alarm when using zone lighting.

Thanks, Craig, but unfortunately none of this affects exterior lights turning on when a door is opened. I had Ford software help on the line, but they could not point me to any setting that would prevent exterior lights from coming on when the door opens.

Problem solved: I found FORScan and added a switch to the center console screen that disables all lights when the doors are opened. While I was at it, I disabled the "welcome chimes" that play when the key is turned in the ignition, and made it so that a double-click is required to activate the panic button.

Can you share what FORScan items you changed to do all of these? I’d be interested in doing something similar.
Can you send a picture of what the switch looks like on the screen?

Seconded. I really don't need to light up the campground when I open the truck up to grab something.

I enabled Silent Mode in the BdyCM, and added the Silent Mode button in the APIM. I'm brand-new to FORScan, so I'm not really qualified to give any instruction. There is, however, a thread in the Ranger5G forum that I found helpful:

Also, the FORScan web site has links to a forum that has a bunch of useful information. I'm attaching a photo of my center display showing the silent mode button. On means lights are disabled when the doors are opened.
