Very slight delay going into drive and reverse

There is maybe a half second delay when going into drive, and maybe less so when going into reverse. I'm just wondering if that's pretty common for these 2024s?

I suppose my comparison is to my wife's Wrangler. It seems more old school in that the engagement is immediate.
