One interesting point that was made to me…..was to download the software to your own computer and not let the installer, if other than yourself, use their computer

that way you always have possession of it

I was pleasantly surprised when I ask the dealer’s parts guy when it would be available

and then spoke with the service writer about installation cost

he actually brought the service technician that did a previous installation on a 24 Raptor to talk to me about the whole installation process and why it justifies 2 hours of installation time

he was the one to stress to me to download the software to my own computer and bring my computer in when they do the install

1:20 to verify and test

as an IT developer with 30+ years of experience

I can understand (and appreciate) a thorough testing phase

Mine should be here in a few days, it’s in route to dealership. They will just have to do everything to install it unfortunately. I have an M4 MacBook Pro, which I can’t use even if I run Windows on it with Parallels. Need a computer that’s x86, not compatible with ARM based computers. Not worth the hassle to rush out and buy a computer just for this.

There is literally nothing to test. The flash is either successful or it isn’t.

The dealer has just decided if they aren’t going to bill atleast 2 hours then doing the FP tune install isn’t worth their time.

we call it “regression testing”

the dealership I use has a waiting area that overlooks the service bay

if I see him just upload the software and doing nothing further….Ill bring that to the attention of the service manager

I expect him to do, at a minimum, a test drive

I’m hoping to get the tune soon but need more time to break in the 2025. Only 230 miles so far but I bought the decals already.

Brother's dealership installed his tune on his new 2025 ranger raptor yesterday. They'd thrown it in on the car deal and were just wtg to be able to install it.
