Just discovered my transfer case is leaking ATF at the driveshaft and probably has been since it was built based on the drips onto the tray/skid below. I bought my Ranger Raptor roughly 5/28, and it just turned over 1,900 miles this week. I am going to schedule an appointment to get it looked at under warranty but not thrilled. Assuming (and hoping) our transfer cases are filled with ATF rather than gear oil and this is a simple output/driveshaft seal replacement that will fix it.

That sucks. Now I need to go check mine.

I had my front driveshaft replaced, drove 2500km and now it's toast again. This truck is starting to smell like a lemon.

Damn how did you find out there was an issue with your driveshaft?

There is a thread called whistling noise on the forum. There are quite a few explanations on there as well as a video of the sound. Essentially the driveshaft makes a particular noise between 35km/h and 0 after driving on the highway for 25ish minutes. My dealership couldn't even say exactly what was wrong with it. They replaced it and the new one last about 2500km. Now we'll see what they plan on doing.

I had this issue on my 2021 Bronco. You should be good. The seal should come in pretty quick and they’ll have you up and running in no time. I had no issues after I had mine replaced. What usually takes so long is getting it looked at.

Thanks, that is what I am hoping for and sort of expecting. Are you in the front range, or somewhere else? Seems like a toss up on Denver metro Ford service center experiences. A local enthusiast group leaned slightly towards a specific service writer at Phil Long versus the other dealer service centers around here so I think that is where I am headed.

Phil long motor city in Colorado Springs. Go see Brandon. If he’s still there that’s who I go to. I had so much aftermarket done to the Bronco and they still covered everything. Front diff, no questions asked.

Hello, if you send us a private message, I would be happy to take a further look into your leak concerns further on my end.

Took awhile, but a local dealer service center finally had a loaner available and took care of it the other week. The service tech initially said there was no leak and it was just "assembly lube" until I provided pictures showing the drips and the soaked skid under the transfer case. They put it back on the lift and found it then. Not quite sure how it could be missed, but they replaced the output shaft/driveshaft seals and topped off the transfer case. Fingers crossed that's the last service visit for awhile since it didn't give me tons of confidence in the techs.
