Tired of the athleticism it takes to get into the truck bed.

I have the same thing
I just got a new one, I was looking for one the fit under the cover when folded. My old one was 1.5” too tall. My new one is about 1.5” under. They are both 17” when opened.

Same dilemma. Looked at numerous options and leaning towards this one: https://www.littlegiantladders.com/products/jumbo-step?variant=39642621313189

My concern with a step ladder is having something solid, but lightweight that likely won't move when you step on it from the bed. This one looks fairly solid.
I looked at the 2 step version of that one. I am having trouble finding the specs on the closed dimensions. It looks like it is about 5“ deep by 21.5 wide. I can’t find out how tall it is when closed though. I need it to fit under the cover.

I bought one of those for my F150 and never used it because it interfered with the tailgate extender. Sat in my shed for about 8 years. Finally donated it about 8 months ago. I saw one that has a folding handle. Not keen on drilling holes though.

The step ladder I was using took up a significant chunk of the limited bed space, so I purchased a Heininger HitchMate Hitch Truck Step B0002Z9O6O from Amazon. This standard model does not clear the spare tire, but the length is perfect to clear the tail gate when down. They make an XL version that should clear the spare tire if you want to leave it on all the time. I rarely need to climb into my bed, and the standard model easily slips on and off, so I'll leave it in the bed of my truck until needed.

I have the bed extender, and found this trampoline ladder on Amazon. Ladder is a bit flimsy, but fits and works well. It works without the extender

but probably not as safe. The one I got was 43” long and 15” wide, which is a good size. Cost $28.
