Sport Drive Mode

I set my raptor mode switch to Sport and 4A. Does anyone think this will slow me down from the normals Sport Mode of 2H? Up here in Maine the 4A setting allows me to accelerate like a good little Raptor. My other concern does this cause unusual wear and tear set on Sport with 4A? My wife’s Bronco Wildtrak when put to sport mode shift directly to 4A.

I wouldn't use 4A for fast highway speeds. 2WD sport for that application.

I use sport 4A because I'm an aggresive driver. But sport 2H on the highway unless it'sslippery, then sport 4A as well. I to would like to know if 4A is hard on your diffs like an F-150 in 4H is when driving 60 mph on dry pavement.

i have seen people with a tune on a 2019 Ranger

Our RR over here in Aus go into 4A when shifted to sports mode. 4A will give you more traction on launch and also in the corners

I have to use my R mode for sports everything but 2H for a more ‘spirited’ driving style

I think I will keep my Raptor button set on Sport and 2H, BUT now if I think there is a need for 4A on the launch I will reach over and tap it on. It’s an extra step but it’s ok. These RR is the first vehicle that makes me smile everyda.

Thanks to your post I finally took the time to figure out what the "R" Raptor button was for and programmed mine, sweet !!!

The first two weeks it did not actuate properly. I took it to the dealer and after a little argument they finally understood how it was behaving. They had no fix for it. They said maybe Ford would send an update. Good news is now it works perfect for no reason. I love my RR it’s the most fun I ever had with a street and off road vehicle.

Yeah, a lot of people on this forum were having issues with the "R" button at one time, but I was still learning the basics about my RR. Sounds like FoMoCo fixed the issue. Just like a bunch of people who were complaining about our front left bumper sensor going off for no apparent reason, including myself, and all the sudden they are all working. I don't think for one minute that Ford motor company is going to stop monitoring this forum. They are just gonna do it without being seen or heard. Which I like. And I love my Ranger Raptor the same. I still smile when I'm walking out to get into it, every time !
