Anyone else notice that their parking sensors are super slow to respond to objects?

I’m picking up on a pretty noticeable delay, leading me to lose faith in their ability to prevent impact when navigating tight spaces. My other cars pick up on objects and their distance to the vehicle rather immediately, regardless of speed. With my RR, I almost need to slow down, wait for the sensor to notice the object, and then proceed as normal. As of now, don’t feel like I can rely on them as a gauge of distance…

Hopefully this is something future software updates will fix, just wondering if anyone else noticed the sensor lag, or if I have a fault that needs to be investigated.

And Ford, please don’t ask for my VIN…it ain’t gonna help!

Thanks!

My raptor allowed me to bump my boat trailer. Never once warned me and the damage is right next to a "sensor". certainly my fault but...

That’s exactly what I’m talking about - something is wrong with the software or the sensors themselves. I’m always safe and check blind spots and everything, but something like that should just not happen without a warning.

If you don’t have sensors, fine and that’s on you. If you have the sensors, it’s on Ford to make sure they do their job. Never 100% I know that, but missing a boat trailer? WTF!

This first arose when I realized my truck almost let me hit a parking meter - luckily I put the camera on to gauge my distance but the sensor didn’t chime until I stopped moving - NOT good.

If anyone else is noticing this please report here / to Ford.

The rear sensors are great, but the front parking ones are useless. Only time it really wants to work is in drive-thru lanes (omg, you're like a foot from the wall and not moving!!!) and when you're already on top of a parking lot curb. But pulling up to the garage door at 2mph, better turn on the camera manually to park because F you.

Yeah that’s just not good - if you’re gonna add the sensors, they have to work well…plain and simple….my 2016 Toyota worked better than this…I’ve given Ford a pass on many issues here because of the overall package, but this one is just silly…

My pre collision sensor worked perfectly today avoided rear ending someone. Big red warning light on the display.

Was this issue solved to anyone? I just got my RR and have the same issue with the front parking sensors.

Mixed bag for me. While pre-collision assist helped me avoid an accident already, the sensors quickly become useless in the slightest bit of mixed precipitation.
The rears are so sensitive they have locked my brakes up more than once just backing out of my driveway from the angle the entrance hits the road.
