I placed an online order from Ford, for Cover King neopreme seat covers for my '24 Ranger XLT Sport, using Ford points, back on November 19th. This entire time, when I tracked the order, it said "in transit". Well, its been at the dealership for quite a while now. Sucks that Ford didnt update the status, and even worse, that the dealer couldnt be bothered to let me know the order had come in. Sadly, I have come to expect no better from Ford, or Star Ford in Glendale, Ca. Horrible dealer to deal with.
So, on to the real issue. I went to put on the covers, and they have a tag sewn on them, with a graphics indicating not to use with heated seats. The instructions acquired by scanning a QR code included with the covers, say the covers are not compatible with heated seats, and include what I take to be direct info from Ford, that seat covers, or even a seat cushion are not allowed with heated seats, mentioning possible injury, overheated seats. I assume it would also violate the warranty. This information was not shown when I ordered the covers back in November, but its there now. Funny, the same style and brand covers are available from Ford for the Bronco, and it says "retains all seat functions" and says nothing about issues with heated seats. I have seen several threads here about seat covers, and no one has mentioned this before. Wondering if its a real issue, or just Ford covering its ass for everything it can. I did a search for heated seat compatible neopreme covers online, and there are many available, but presumably they would not be acceptable according to Ford.
