This isn’t very accurate information. At some point ford was having dealers put all orders in as stock so it wouldn’t ever send you an email. My order was one of these stock orders. You can still get updates by using your order number and calling ford or calling your salesperson and asking them for an update. If it was a stock order you cannot get your email attached ever so don’t bother arguing with your dealer or fordIf you never got the order confirmation email right after you placed your order, then either your dealer didn’t put the order in as retail or they messed up your email address in the system. Either way I’d reach out to the dealer to fix it if I were you. Unless you’re not in the U.S. as I don’t know how other countries do it.
