Now that you have blessed this body shop and the processes used (sight unseen), you've completely changed my mind.

Every forum has "that guy", didn't take me long here to find out who it is.
I mean its your truck, but you can loosen the tin foil though. I had a worse paint issue than you and it was resolved successfully and uneventfully. You can continue to yell into the aether, or you know get your truck fixed and it'll be fine.

Their solution was to send the truck to a body shop to have the whole hood repainted, thereby GUARANTEEING the hood won't match, either now or a couple of years from now. I declined.
If they have a painter worth a damn it will match. They will color coat the hood then clear coat the hood and fenders. It's called blending. That's what makes it match. If they just color coat and clear the hood it won't match.

I guess I got lucky, I bought one of the first ones and the build quality was great.

My '24 Lariat in Cactus Grey has a noticeable flaw on the paint on the front part of the hood. Like something between a sesame seed & a sunflower kernel was painted over. In fact if I look close it looks like the whole truck was painted in my dusty garage.

Dealer has offered nothing whatsoever to make me whole. I asked for a factory painted hood, declined. They have a same color XLT at another dealership they own. I offered to drive 100 miles to have the hoods swapped, declined. In both cased they said the paint would never match. (And the hood swap option would leave them with a F'd up truck, not me)

Their solution was to send the truck to a body shop to have the whole hood repainted, thereby GUARANTEEING the hood won't match, either now or a couple of years from now. I declined.

The only solution they offered would result in FOMOCO and the dealer being giddy happy & me with a permantly F'd up truck.

BEWARE FUTURE FORD in Concord, Ca.

Fortunately the defect is in a place where the $90 factory "satin wind deflector" will cover it, actually doesn't look bad either.
24 XLT Cactus Grey here, from Walnut Creek Ford. They have been great but have not had major issues with the truck. When we were looking I was not impressed with Future Ford of Concord; their pricing on the website-too many games.

I have noticed on my Driver hood as well that the hood sits slightly below the fender panel; pretty even on the passenger side.

When I washed the truck last week I noticed "19" in red market on the wheel....this is random.

Will have the dealer check these on my first oil change but overall happy with the truck. Sorry to hear about OP and your experience.
