Hello,
First post here on the forum but figured I would start a picture thread. I do not own a RR yet, but I am highly highly considering one in the near future to replace my 2015 Tacoma DCLB. I, like many of you I am sure, am a motocross/dirtbike hobbiest/addict. Let's see some pix of mx bikes in the back of Rangers/Ranger Raptors and specs on how you setup your bed for hauling your bikes!! I know I will greatly miss the 6' bed... but that is why I would like to see some of the setups everyone has!!

Great photos of your dirt bike, John! Happy travels and thanks for sharing.

I sure hope the Ranger’s tailgate is stronger than the one in my ‘05 Tacoma!

Taco'd Tailgate.jpeg
This was a fairly well known issue among '05 Tacoma owners. Eventually, after a LOT of complaints, Toyota issued a TSB that stated IF you damaged your tailgate, you could get it repaired and an internal brace installed at the dealer.

The 2005 tailgate was basically the inner liner and an outer skin with NO internal support between the two. It was a crazy engineering miss, especially since the 2005 sales brochure included a picture of a Tacoma with a dirt bike in the bed. Ironically, I handed that brochure to the Service Manager who told me I overloaded my tailgate by putting anything on it rather than compeltely in the bed with the gate closed. Then I had to give them the TSB printed out because when I asked them to fix the truck under the TSB, they told me there was no TSB and that it was simply my fault for overloading the truck. FWIW, the bike I had loaded that folded my tailgate was a KTM 525SMR that only weighed about 240 pounds.

In any case, they redesigned the tailgate by late 2006-2007 and I filed this in my "Toyota isn't quite perfect file" that also includes the glovebox strut that also fails in these and for which they never released a fix.

I'm not able to put mine in the bed. It's a little(lot) too long.

I’m only moving my bikes around on a trailer…I’m 5’12” tall and the raptor truck bed is not short. The rest of y’all are brave and have strong backs.
