Hi all,

Attentions have been turning to the interior, specifically sound. I've scoured YT and all the usual sources for ideas and inspiration and I'm pretty set on adding the Kicker 8" sealed unit to the joke of a "subwoofer" that Ford Australia deems sufficient. Unlike you guys and girls in the states, we get a 6x9 speaker with an elongated magnet shroud. Not even the enclosure with the 5.5 that you guys get. Attached are some images of the offending item and as you can see, if I move the jack I should have room to add in the kicker without an issue (maybe on its side.)

I've reached out to a few of your for hints/tips/suggestions and know it's a highly discussed topic going back before the 6G. Essentially I want to use the OEM amp to provide the signal to the kicker and leave everything else "as is."

Discuss....

The signal from the stock setup may not have enough power for a decent sound.
I'm using a Kicker powered sub woofer in mine. I'm have the 11HS8. This will allow you to use line level from the stock amp.
You will need to run power to it but Ford makes it pretty easy to get wires through the fire wall.
I also had to relocate the Jack to the bed since it would no longer fit with the sub there.
I used the Jack Relocation Kit from Ausmotion.

Thanks Rover, that's useful intel on the relocation kit, didn't know that was a thing. I'm reading a lot (and getting messages from those that are in the know) that the Keyloc is the plug and play way to go.

I have a Keyloc sitting on the floor of my den. I was going to put it in my Subaru but then I traded up to a Raptor.
The true plug and play would be to Mobridge amplifier but it'll cost you. Well worth it though.
I'll probably use the Keyloc in my camper.
