Did you go into limp mode when trying to full throttle your engine? Hard to tell what’s going on, but my Bronco through check engine light brand new right off the dealer lot with less than 5 miles on it! Sat for over a month while I had to make payments on it. Ended up being a loose turbo waste gate bolt.
I used to get the wrench icon on my explorer when I’d floor it. The fix was to stop, shut it off, wait a bit, turn it back on. Dealer never did find anything actually with it. Engine light never came on though, in your case, hopefully that triggered a code the dealer can investigate.
Called dealer ship . From what he could look at believes was in the process of a soft ware up date, and lost cell service possible. Will still bring down for a scan if it happens again.
I went to the dealership. The tech thinks it's a wiring problem (see attached), and they want me to drop my truck off for a couple of days to investigate more. They didn't see any rodent damage, but if rodent damage caused the problem it's not covered by the Ford warranty.
The dealership set me up with an appointment to drop my truck off for a few days. At this point I think it's really strange that 2 basically identical trucks have the same alerts on the same day.
I'm going to tell the dealer to cancel my appointment and see if the alert happens again.
Yes mine has been undercoated washed weekly under carriage. Mouse don't think so. Just had oil changed week before by brother in law's small garage.. he would have seen that. I've driven about 200 mi since that episode when it was really cold that morning. I lost no power at all when they were on. So I'm going to wait get out a few.
