My Ranger Raptor failed to start this morning

Searched the forum but didn't see any similar posts.

Went to head to work this morning and the truck would not start. It cranks continuously but never fires up. It is a little cold this morning (25F) but it's started in colder temperatures. I have about 4300 miles on it and just completed a 2000+ miles road trip with no issues. Parked it on Tuesday (12/31) afternoon and everything was fine. Just called a tow truck to have it towed to the dealership. Anybody else have something like this happen?

Dealership hasn't got a chance to look at it yet. I'll update this post when I hear back from them.

Hopefully they figure it out shortly and provided you with a nice loaner in the meantime.

UPDATE:

The dealership got it in to take a look at it today. They were able to get it starting again after clearing the codes. They do want to keep it for a few more days to test some things and see if they can figure out what caused the issue, which is fine with me as I don't want this to happen again. I was lucky it happened after being parked outside my home, my luck may not be as good if it happens again.

In the meantime they gave me a 2024 Ranger XLT FX4 as a loaner which I can't complain about (other than having to put a physical key in the ignition but that's nitpicking).

Any idea what the codes were? Do they show in your app under Alert History?

I had a post here about mine not starting. I had to have entire engine replaced. Several cylinders just died on it.

Talked to the service rep again today and asked what codes were thrown. He said there were fault codes from the PCM, AWD/4x4 module and ABS module. He still wasn't sure what happened but his best guess was that the computers got stuck in some kind of logic loop that it couldn't work out of. They replaced the battery but wanted to keep the truck until tomorrow so they could start it again from cold and make sure everything is fine. I can't remember for sure, but it's highly possible I left the truck in 4A the last time I drove it so maybe that had something to do with it. I'll talk to the rep again tomorrow when I pick the truck up (assuming it starts up normally) and see if I can't get any more details. Oddly enough, I am not getting any alerts in my app. I did in the Bronco I had before this but none from the RR so far. I am assuming they would be the same as the ones that showed up on the dash which were "Service vehicle soon" and "4X4 unavailable."

Just read your post. It sounds we had different situations. Your engine died and wouldn't restart while mine was running fine but wouldn't restart when I drove it. So far, it doesn't sound like my issue is catastrophic but we will see. I'm also not thrilled they didn't find out why it happened.

Think it was one week and they gave me an F150 to use.
