My 2024 Ranger Raptor is at Ramp 59, Dearborn Truck MI

I think the hold for software updates has merit. The delivery of early builds isn't inconsistent with that theory since those deliveries could have been preceded by the updates. I'm not saying that's the explanation. I'm just saying I wouldn't eliminate it.

Generally Ford Sync updates are all done OTA, hard to believe they'd delay shipping if the updates could be done wirelessly either during shipping or at the dealership during final prep.

https://corporate.ford.com/articles/products/over-the-air-software-updates.html

I said this in my first reply, but I think it just comes down to shipping logistics. People in Washington, Canada, Michigan, the east coast (PA/Virginia/WV/Carolinas), the North East, and the southwest have all seen their trucks ship out. But none of us in the midwest or southern states have seen any movement. Just seems like anyone in the midwest or mid-south parts of the country are just waiting for a shipping medium to become available.

If it was truly a software issue and mine was chosen for hold, I'd expect to see other rangers showing up at dealers in a 100-mile radius that weren't being held, but not a single dealer has one.

Hey All,

Been reading the forums, and like all of you - eager to get my hands on the Ranger Raptor. Here is my update - looking if anyone has heard the same thing, or has any information on the "infamous" Dearborn Truck, Ramp 59.

Current Tracker As-of 03/14/24 (I have read all the comments about no need to hide the VIN/ORDER, but I choose to - if my dealer is on the prowl).

Update from the Dealer:

What I gather from this information is that the Truck finished Production on 01/30/24, Even though the Tracker does not indicate so. (Read many reviews about the tracker not being accurate/not updating until the truck has my a$$ in the driver's seat).
Been reading a good bit about Ramp 59, Dearborn Truck. A lot of the reviews are infamous. A lot of the reviews indicate the truck is just waiting to be loaded and shipped. Checking in to see if anyone on the forums here has the same update. Contacted FoMoCo marketing, and they weren't even able to produce that the truck had completed Production (My guess is that they just go off of the tracker). Any guesses on ETA to the center of the country (Outside St. Louis, MO)? Feels like we could be getting close as long as it doesn't sit in that lot for 3 months.

I am attempting to get the windowsticker from the dealer, but they are slow to respond. The tracker mentions the option to obtain it, but not seeing the capability. Anyone know of any other method to get the window sticker? I hear those indicate whether the Truck will be shipped via Convoy/Rail.
Talked to my dealer in North Mississippi, my Raptor will be at dealer between 25-29 March. He showed me the shipping information.

The plot thickens.

It was actually their XLT that went in production 1/30 and shipped to RA6K on 3/14. Their Lariat went in production 3/12.

But yeah...same destination as mine yet built after mine and mine is still stuck in production. I'm not sure what to think about this.

I did cherry-pick a few others in the area. A lot of them were built in January or early February and still haven't shipped yet.

Glad things are going good for you up there… my dealer in South Mississippi gives me the same treatment Ford Chat does. “We see it’s in production” 🤦‍♂️

I was notified Saturday that my Lariat was being shipped to California. Let's hope the train stays on the track

Anyone have any insight as to why the "Delivery Details" on my tracker would be blank? I watched All Terrain Nation's Window Sticker Video, and his had the delivery information on the tracker. Anyone else have the same results?

All my delivery details are nonexistent as well as the link for the window sticker.
When my order was first placed back in October, everything was visible. Even the box to click for the window sticker
I’ve asked my dealer, Ford chat and no one has a reason or explanation.

My dealer in South Louisiana told me mine would be at the dealership between 3/16-3/22 showed me shipping information as well. But the truck still shows “in production” talked to Ford yesterday and they don’t have any updates as the Ranger Raptors are on “Quality Assurance Hold”

Fingers crossed for you. My dealer is unwilling to provide much information at all. I will not be using them again in the future.

Dealers don't really get all that much information from Ford. Its a completely separate business so unless they have a good plug in at the factory with their factory rep, they aren't withholding information from you, they just don't have anything to say. My dealer would basically just quote ford authority articles as they came out. Also everyone is terrified to give any dates now based on people taking an ETA as a guaranty. I can tell you from my line of work, we tell a customer something is taking 4-6 weeks and if it takes 6 weeks and 2 days people try to threaten us with bad reviews to get money off for the extra time they had to wait.

Fair response! I don't feel like information is being withheld, I just feel like effort isn't taking place to actively provide information. When I agreed to pay MSRP + (Unfortunate I know) - I was expecting a level of effort to match my willingness to overpay for a vehicle. I wish one day we could purchase vehicles directly from the manufacturer. I don't understand why Automakers don't want recognize revenue quicker, and offset the COGS that are displayed on their books.

If I am a cash buyer (which I am in this scenario) I should be able to go to FoMoCo and drive that truck home myself. Dealers should still exist, selling their builds/PreOwned Inventory - but if I am a retail purchase designed from their Website... I should be allowed to Pick Up. Make my purchase agreement binding if you have to to alleviate the liability of the asset.

I think its safe to say we all know some dealers work harder for their customers than others, that's all I really meant by my comment :). Could even be salesperson specific.

I bugged my salesman today and he said there doesn't seem to be any hold or QC issues holding it up and it was "released for shipping" so it's likely just waiting for a space on the train. They said there was only 1 ranger they could see that was sent to a dealer within 300 mile radius from STL.

I'm guessing the early builds were just stuck in the back of the lot and that's why I'm still waiting. At least there doesn't seem to be any quality reason for the holdup.

Browsing around some of the 2023 F150 ads in our area I'm seeing some serious discounts now (if they are to be believed). If I don't see movement on my Ranger order soon I may bail on it and see if I can't get a great deal on a F150. The fact that the F150 doesn't fit in my garage is what is currently holding me back.

Anyway...yeah I'm hoping the early builds will start moving soon. Or better yet maybe they are on the move and the pizza tracker is just broken for some of us.
