I waited until after SEMA to start poking the bushes to see if some Aftermarket parts businesses had any plans on making stuff for the Ranger Raptor.

So far, only MRT has replied back to me and they would love to develop a system for the Ranger Raptor, but don't have access to a Ranger Raptor to do so.
I'd love to offer mine, but I live on the West Coast and MRT is located in Plymouth, Michigan.

This was in the reply I received back:

There have to be a couple of local Ranger Raptor enthusiasts in the Motor City area desiring more performance from their exhaust system.

We can even put it back to stock if someone would like to solely provide the vehicle. We typically only need the vehicle for a few days, depending on how many different systems are created. They can reach directly out to MRT for more information.

I know exhaust systems and sounds are a matter of personal choice/preference, especially with the asking price for some of those systems, but more choices are better.

I'm going to post links to the 2 Mid-pipe systems (uses Factory tailpipes) they offer for the Bronco Raptor. Those two offerings would give us a general idea on the sound, (short drive videos in both), and how it could possibly look.

Not gonna lie, those sound very similar to the stock exhaust on anything but wide open throttle.

I listed those 2 Bronco Raptor Mid-pipes as a reference, mostly because I used them as an example in my email to them.

They can really can only be used as a general 'maybe' when it comes to sound because they have nothing for the Ranger Raptor and would like it if someone would/could let them use their Ranger Raptor.

The sounds are some what similar to stock as the KotH would be Sport on all the time and Extreme would pretty much be Baja on all the time, since their bracket takes the valves out of the equation and just uses them to prevent check engine lights.

I guess we won't know until someone lends them their truck and they start working on what they would like to offer.

Why change then? You get all the modes with the current exhaust. If its not improving horsepower numbers or giving me more options why would I waste my money on it?

Current exhaust drones on the highway even in quiet, and the valves are literally just flaps that are held open at various positions; quiet will go full Baja at WOT then back to quiet.

My point? Larger exhaust pipes and no flaps that won't get stuck open or closed, yet sounds about the same or potentially quieter while cruising around sounds like a win to anyone who plans to keep the truck a while, tune it, and actually use it as designed off road. It's not for everyone, but this is a good first step.

Putting a different exhaust on is on my list of things I'd like to do, but it's not very high on the list due to so few choices. Plus, just offering the Mid-pipe actually leaves room for tweaking the sound
where you could remove the Factory tailpipe resonators completely or swap in different ones from another Manufacturer.

I figured that it wouldn't hurt to inquire at a few Aftermarket businesses to see if they have any plans for stuff for the Ranger Raptor.

I don't live anywhere near Plymouth, Michigan, so I started this thread to see if there is someone who lives closer that would be interested and get the ball rolling.

I honestly don't know if they will follow the same exhaust route as the Bronco Raptor, but I'd venture to guess there would be at least one of the Mid-pipe versions offered.

In quiet and normal mode, it does not drone. If you think that is droning you have never ridden in a modify car with an exhaust. Quiet does not go full Baja either at WOT. It does get louder as it is required to allow more air flow but its not going Baja loud.

A non-valved exhaust will not sound quieter in any format then a valved one, its physically impossible lol. The exhaust is not going to do anything for you off-road either. I am all for after market exhausts and such, but losing the valves is a down grade.

Sure wish the couple guys with the Magnaflow valved cat back would post sound clips. Not dropping 3K without hearing it.

Let's just say this car stands in opposition to everything you just said and call it a day.

I know about the Militek exhaust and have for quite a while. It's just not to my taste, sound wise, and it uses a valve set up.

I've also known about the Magnaflow exhaust and have heard a sound clip of it. It's probably the worst sounding one (to me) that I've heard so far (especially for the almost $3k price they're asking).

I started this thread in hopes that someone would see it and help get the ball rolling at MRT to see what they come up with for the Ranger Raptor and what it sounds like. It could end up sounding different than the Bronco Raptor ones I linked.

Where did you find a clip of the Magnaflow... been curious to hear it (same mind of not buying any expensive CBE until I hear sound clips). Not optimistic after your review :) That's a shame, because they do have quality products.

Here is the clip I found.

It doesn't say what 'mode' the exhaust was in, but I'm assuming that it's more than likely Sport. (I could be wrong, though)

Personally, I don't like it's sound, but others might.

Thank you. I don't hate it... but really need to hear a WOT pass or two under load. I asked that member who's truck is in this video to post some clips but he's been MIA since.
