Here is my 23.7 MPG average for 5,467 miles. This is for my 4 X 2 Lariat driving the speed limit with about 1/3 city and 2/3 highway miles in the midwest. It even includes about 700 miles towing a light trailer at 63 MPH. I am very pleased with the MPG for this truck.

I started somewhere around 4000 feet max was like 6000 feet and then down to sea level driving mostly 63mph. I got somewhere around 25.8 mpg on the way back.

I have a 2017 F150 3.5 EB 4x4, so my only mode choices are "normal," tow/haul, and sport. IMHO the normal mode plain sucks. The only time I use it is if conditions are very slippery to keep wheel spin to a minimum. Mileage in normal is worse than tow, so I use tow about 90% of the time. At 55 mph, normal mode has me loafing along at 1200-1500 rpm, so any slight uphill brings on the boost. Tow keeps me in 7-8 gear at that speed and out of the boost. For me at least, gears are more economical than boost. I love the power of turbos for sure, but minimizing their use yields better fuel mileage for me. As they say YMMV, but I'm curious if any of you have tried this with your Rangers, and if so, what were your results?
