I used them twice on this long trip already, once at Moab (White Rim Road) and the latest at Vermillion Cliffs, AZ. I deflated to 24 psi (with hot tires) to get about 20 psi cold. That took less than 90 seconds, once the hoses were connected. There is no need to get out the compressor for deflating.
Inflating back up to 42 psi hot gave them about 39 psi “actual” cold pressure. With the engine running it took under two minutes, the upgraded pump cylinders and heads run VERY cool and are quiet. The third pic is not the final pressure, that 39 psi was a coincidence …
I really like the compressor and the hoses, the worst thing is getting the hoses coiled up neatly afterwards, so that the carry bag zips closed, but isn’t too fat to store neatly. I use the open tailgate as a work surface while I fuss with them…. If somebody has some suggestions about that, please comment.
I extended the compressor cables by 48” and added 120 amp Anderson Powerpole connectors at their end and at my RR battery. They work great, I just do not trust alligator clips to carry the rated 90 amp starting current without burning the battery posts.
