Main display software versions

Hi there.
There are two software versions for main (large) display, one with buttons below CarPlay and one with tiles, like in the photos below. Which one is the latest? The one with buttons keeps larger CarPlay window opened compared to the one with tiles. I have the one with tiles. Can I get the buttons one?

The bottom (second) picrure is the latest. The top picture is of the frist 2022 models that were released. They should have all been updated to the newer version by now though

I actually got to use the 2022 software and it was slow and those tiles had to be pressed and swipped for them to respond. It's been so good to see how much better the software has become by just software updates alone - as I'm not aware of any hardware changes to the infotainment since the MY2022 models!

North American markets should have never even seen the older software as it was updated for the MY2023.5 models

Thnx. Mine is European 2023. Was it OTA update or need to go to the dealer? Seems like there is no OTA available for me now.

Might need to go to the dealer if it isn't doing it via OTA? Maybe being a big update they can only do it in person?

I would have thought they should have done it as part of your scheduled servicing… definitely give them a call. The new software is much better in every way

I'm assuming OP is using stock photos from the web - there's probably not too many of pictures of the new icons floating around right now due to how recent the update is

What version do you, guys, have? My dealer told that I should go to the website of Ford and i can download the latest version there. When i do that using the VIN code, website says that i should get the latest update OTA. And it is stated that that my current version is 4.0.23096
And no OTA update still.

I haven't seen any and only noticed the new icons which I don't like about a week after the auto-update. I'm not sure how I would get to the bottom screen shot with the split screen

Not sure if this is it but in the section of the app that says "What's in the Update" it says software update 6.14.0 is this what we're looking for? or do I need to bring up something in the truck?

I don’t even have such place where I can look for “what’s in update”.
I was looking for the current version here, as my dealer told me, by VIN code

The split screen that is shown on the bottom picture is just Apple CarPlay’s Home Screen
