After about 3 minutes ,Yes some but not completely about 70% better it's normal
I dont think this is Cam phaser noise as the 2.3's don't do that. What Dard6555 said a few posts ago makes sense. The colder it is outside the longer your fast idle is going to stay on so this happens:
"On cold start the 2.3L holds the waste gate open just a bit so the turbo doesn't spin up at high idle. After a minute or so, it closes. It can be a little noisy during this process."

You know that's a really good possibility!! I always let the pickup warm up ,at the 3 to 4 minutes mark that motor quit down alot !!

2024 Ranger XLT FX4 w/2.3 - roughly 9 months old - 11,600 miles - no rattles - I just crank up and go - no issues thus far

Hey Freedombeast did you see my video a few comments earlier,,of my 2.3l engine and do you agree that on my engine it's normal sounds when first cold start on a cold morning 17 degrees

This is my 2.3L 2024 ranger ,first coldstart of the morning ,it was 17 degrees in my opinion all sounds are normal, 1408 miles on this motor
Remember this is a first cold start of the day really cold morning, when I video recorded this ,the idle still was high about 2k rpms I believe, I had just started the engine when I recorded it
