Leitner Designs recently released their bed racks for 2024+ rangers and ranger raptors. I was torn between a rack and a topper. I have had both in the past and usually end up with a topper. I chose to go with a rack this time for a few reasons. 1. I didn't love the way the toppers look on this platform. Maybe that'll change over time; we'll see. 2. I wanted to be able to throw my mountain bike over the tailgate easily.

That does not mean that this rack does not come without any cons. My main concern is security, which is why I have ended up with toppers on both of my last trucks. I am hoping with the gear boxes that will help reduce my fear. I also am considering making a slide out that I can somehow secure totes or bins to.

I purchased this truck used and found out that the previous owner installed the FMI leveling spacer in the front. Now that I have added this rack and gear boxes (eventually gear and a RTT as well), I'll need to add a spacer, air bags, bump stops or some sort of lift in the back. I am curious what my options are here. Any advice would be appreciated.

No idea on your question but i like the no stickers look. Stays under the radar and doesnt attract unwanted attention

You can add the same perches in the rear too, someone on here did 2.5 on the front and 1.5 on the rear. Air bags would be great option, not sure if they are out there.

Remove the spacers?
I could do that but I agree with others that the clearance on these ranger raptors leaves more to be desired. I'd prefer more clearance over less clearance.

I don't have an answer to your question, but I want to thank you for posting pics.

I had a Leitner rack on my long bed Tacoma, and had that cargo box and some other accessories. I haven't yet gotten a Leitner rack for the Ranger, but I plan to do if for no other reason than to be able to use the rather expensive accessories that are sitting in storage.

I just need to decide if I want the more expensive rack with the movable top bar or save a few hundred dollars. I'd like to save the money, but my previous set up had the adjustable bar and that was handy often enough that I think I'll miss it.

I have a Lariat with FX4, so I don't have the same suspension considerations. In my Tacoma, I wound up adding a leaf and Sumo Springs.

As you can see I went with the cheaper option. I don't typically haul taller items and if I did it would be a special occurrence where I would remove the pods and the rear bar. I know you're not supposed to but I am sure it would be fine. I don't see that really being an issue but I did think about it. I'll have the RTT on it all summer. I also didn't want the posts to take up bed space and also wanted the option to go with the tonneau cover if I want more peace of mind.

Not sure if that helps your thought process at all but thought I'd share anyways. I certainly asked a few others when deciding between a topper or rack.

Thanks. For me, hauling taller items has been easily accommodated by just sliding the rear bar forward. On the short bed Ranger I might have to remove the bar at some point, but not for anything I can foresee right now.

It's an expensive rack, especially when you add their proprietary accessories. But I'm sure you'll agree that Leitner is top quality stuff.

I also had Decked drawers in my Tacoma. Even unloaded, that weighed more than the rack and about the same as the rack and unloaded full size gear pod. For that TRD Toyota, attention to the suspension was an absolute requirement.
