My RR has 14,400 miles on it. I noticed a few drops of oil on my garage floor last week. I crawled underneath and saw some oil drops on the bottom of the transmission bell housing. I though it was transmission fluid at first, but it turns out to be oil. The dealer looked at it on Monday and diagnosed a leaking rear main seal. I'm waiting for them to give me an ETA for replacing the seal.

Thanks for posting that. I didn't know there was a service bulletin for my issue.

Stuff like this is unfortunate, but it does happen. Glad the dealer took ownership of the problem and is planning to fix it. Not all owners are as fortunate with service depts.

That sucks. My 24 Mustang had a leak i thought was that since it pooled up on the plate between the engine and the transmission. But dealer put dye in the oil and a I’ve light showed it was leaking from the rear of the oil pan. Guess the gasket maker developed a small gap as the oil heated up and seeped through.
