I would be happy too if I were Chuck Forsythe. Sell a Raptor for MSRP or MSRP+ markup. Then buy one back for $50,000. Easy money!

if OP state does tax credit on trade @8% tax that’s $4,000 in savings. $54k isn’t too terrible but not like Tacoma resale value unfortunately.
If you paid $58000 for it and paid 8% tax that's about $4600. That is a total of $62600. Ouch

Why did you trade in?
Transmission issues Toyota refused to acknowledge.

"We have two other piece of shit trucks on the lot just like your piece of shit, those pieces of shit do the same thing as your piece of shit so your piece of shit is acting normally."

Trans issues with 3rd gen Tacomas are legend. Other things... hill assist, crawl control... nothing works right but is "normal".

I could fight all the way to corporate HQ or just move on with a story to tell. Life's too short, it was worth it to close that chapter.

And the new Taco's have transmission issues too! So glad I went over to the Ford dealer before committing to a Taco two years ago. I hated that 6 speed trans when I drove it. Ford just worked so much better in comparison test drives.

I get it. I traded my '23 Tacoma TRD/OR for a '24 Lariat 2.7, $20k hit.

Never looked back.
Yeah trading can be rough in most situations! On my trade of my 23 Taco TRD OR 6 MT I got $34,500 and bought it almost two yrs ago for $40,xxxx all in. Put down $5k, so almost got that money back at least. Saved $2300 in taxes as well.
