Is your cover above your rearview mirror loose?

Did anyone else get a response on this thread from ford social media agent? She is requesting some info like Vin, name, mileage etc. Not sure if she is going to fix the problem or is this just a scam.

Not a scam if replying to the official Ford account but there is only so much they can do. I supplied the same requested info, but in reality I worked directly with the Service Advisor at one of the local dealerships. I don't feel that there was any value added through @Ford Motor Company help in my case, though the reach out was appreciated. Your mileage may vary and it certainly can't hurt.

Love my truck. But noticed the black plastic cover above the rear view mirror is loose?

I took it into the dealer today and they said they will fix it no problem. They are also going to pull some fabric on the driver sear to fit better. It is a little sloppy where it tapers in at the top on the back.

Ford reaching out was pointless. Her response after giving the info was to see the dealership about it. If it's not warranty or defective or a recall it will be my responsibility to pay for it.
I think it's just ford trying to look like they care. Maybe better QC would show they care. Seems really stupid to take special trip to dealer and probably be without my truck for a day to fix something like this.

Just so it makes sense, I was contacted twice by Ford on this site, once for this issue, and now I have the dreaded cam phase cold start issue, not looking goof for the Raner Raptor, oh yea, I also developed a front-end whining that looks like it's going to be an axle or drive shaft issue. Unreal, starting to regret my purchase, and I work at a dealership!

Lost in translation lol. How did you fix it? Does it pop off and snap back on? I don't want to attempt to pull off and break it.

I popped mine off to do a mirror tap for my dash cam. When I put it back there’s two spots on the left and right that make contact the plastic part on the truck. I put some really strong double sided tape on those contact points and pushed it back to. It tightened it to the ceiling so there is no more gap it’s flush with the ceiling liner. It also doesn’t move at all.

Just FYI, every Ranger we have gotten in is the exact same, I guess its normal, or how it was designed. ugh.

Mine's not quite as bad as that but it does hang down a bit.

Common since day one. Some loser than other but all loose on passenger side for some reason. Even the 25s same issue.
