Questions. Anyone have same build? Thoughts? Was gonna wait to see of tremor appeared. No luck. But anyone use spacers to widen and if so what's the cons or pros.

I really want a new Ranger and seriously considering a Ranger Raptor, but as nice as they are, I don’t want something so thirsty.

Like you, a Tremor with a 2.7 would be almost perfect (6’ bed would get me there 100%). I’m not sure how much longer I can wait with a 23 year old daily driver, looming tariff’s and cash in hand.

Spacers- They have their place, but IMO wheels w the proper offset are the true solution. The stress on the components is to my knowledge the same, but it adds another part that I worry a bit about IMO. On my Explorer I run spacers since its old and I didnt want to spend the $$$, but for a new car, I would probably go with the right offset spacers. That said I have thousands of miles on the spacers with no real issue, so maybe it's just in my head.

I like the wheels and tires on the XLT FX4 and didn't want to spend thousands on new that's why I thought maybe half inch or one inch spacers might be an option.

Spacers are one of those things where almost everyone will say they're a bad idea but we've all run them at sometime or another. I run them on my XJ because I'm cheap and got some good looking wheels with the wrong backspacing that already had low mileage good tires on them.

Make sure they're the kind that have studs built in, where you bolt the spacer over the rotor, and then the wheel bolts to the spacer. The ones that slip over stock lugs reduce engagement and are unsafe.

Spacers or backspacing do the same thing as far as affecting wear to ball joints, changing scrub radius, etc.

I own a 2024 XLT FX4 2.7 and I love it. The transmission is.. rough at low speed though. I did a reset and re-learn and I'm still getting weirdness.

I'm waiting to see if it resolves itself in time, only has 300 miles on it. I plan on towing with the truck, small travel trailer.

Ok. Educate me. I hear different terms. Offset. Spacers. I thought it was simply adding a spacer to the rotors and call it done. I was not aware it would cause suspension issues? Or any issues. Do long as it was minimal add like inch or less. Am I wrong or I er thinking this?

Just bought mine 2 weeks ago. Pretty happy so far. Power, build quality and mileage are all great. Very happy I went with the 2.7l.

I'm hoping I feel the same way. The RR was a total let down. Now before I get it I'm already thinking wider lol

My 2.7 xlt shifted a little rough at first at low speeds, but over time it seems to be getting better. I'm at 3k now

MPGs on the RR is really bad. I can barely get 300 miles on a tank. And yes, I know the raptor is not designed for good gas mileage. But the 2.7 is nearly as quick and so much better on gas. Don’t get me wrong. I’m very happy with my raptor. Just wish it had an Eco mode! 😂
