Hello,

Love this forum, already replaced the factory antenna with a stuby that some one posted on here.

is the truck worth 65k, meh sort of. MSRP most defenintey

Things I hate, no vented seats, this is the top model why the heck would it not have vented seats. The audio is garbage, and the brakes, imho are what normal brakes should feel like, not a 410 hp desert race truck.

First and only planned mods until i dont have a note, add on board air, and gmrs. And disable stop start. And i gotta line the bed and might line the undercarrage. maybe ppf, still arguing with my detailer that sermaic coat wont stop branches.

Next mods would be wilwood brakes, and a tank, there is a company, its on this forum that makes a 35 gallon tank but it looks lower than I would like, so might see if they could do a shallower 30 gallon, still another 150 miles in range.

Have a VERY light forest/off road exploring trip planned in the morning, man this forum kept me up, so ill let you know how she rides. I will say in a sort of rough freeway lane at 80,-90 this truck feels like your driving 55. It is so smooth.
Brakes and seats ford, brakes and seats.

Hoping to get out the dunes in late june, and let her eat. Then the ford school and raptor fest and then maybe moab and colorado, hopefully black bear pass.

Planning the radio install and compressor in june, ill post it on here.

Im in the pnw and my daily is a plug in hybrid and can get to work in ev, so I can spend all my gas money on this beast.

i was a bit upset about the govenor, but then I read some where that the tires are only rated to 110, so thanks for not letting me die ford.

I paid a 5k markup. Don't like it, but I believe the value of the RR will only go up. Plus, I got to order it the way I wanted it.
F-150 Raptor is $70,000 MSRP, and I think once people start seeing the RR, they're going to prefer it over the larger vehicle.
What do you mean by "on board air," and "grmr"?

air compressor mounted to the vehicle out of the way. wired to vehicle battery.
ARB compressors are most shown.

gmrs two-way radio. longer distance than CB. alternative to ham radio. requires pay-for license (vs ham study-for license) - no disrespect intended. gmrs is becoming the standard for off-road/overland groups communication.
popular model is Midland MXT275. all radio controls are on the handset allowing you to mount the body (amp) out of the way (under the dash or center console)

Thank you. 🙂

That one's really cool looking. You could install it under the hood, and tell everyone it's a blower.
I never thought of having air tools handy on the road, but that wild be nice.
They said it helps with air lockers.

Yep, what racer x said. IMHO you would need a resivour to run tools, all my tools are cordless. Air would be for tires, in theory you air up and down a lot, hoping to avoid doing that as much just based on the suspension being so much better than anything else, blowing dust and pressurizing the solor shower when I get that far in the build.
I think vlair makes a 12 volt compressor with a built in tank.

Ill be going with a 200 dollar amazon one, I cant stomach the price for the arb, the amazon one is higher cfm.

Also in the PNW and paid 5k markup, don't think anyone in the west coast had luck finding one at MSRP

Took her up and got some mud on the tires today. Wife wouldn't let me try and navigate a wash out, we were a bit off the beaten path, no signal, and potential high center spots. So probably a good call. As long as it stays open, ill be back up there with the boys hopefully soon.

The advantage of the ARB compressor is that Ford designed the rear fender with ARB in order to fit the compressor neatly tucked out of the way.

What, was that an option? I was completely unaware of that. Much thanks.

The Raptor is the performance model, not the most loaded model right? You're paying for the upgraded suspension and engine.
