In order to avoid what looks like a steep learning curve, I have identified a local shop that can make Forscan changes. Rather than make multiple trips and possibly save on labor charges, I would like to go in with a list. I’m soliciting suggestions and advice.

Here’s what I have so far:

1. Save a copy of the factory settings profile
2. Approach lights activate when key fob is in proximity
3. Elimination of seatbelt warning/alert
4. Enable walk away locking when key fob exits proximity

Please provide any suggestions and/or corrections to the terminology.

Thanks for your help and consideration!

These may or may not be Forscan issues but may have relevance. There are two features that seem to turn themselves on and off at will in my RR.

* A double horn blast when leaving the engine running and exiting the vehicle. This happens irregularly when I drive to the end of my driveway jump out of the vehicle to get the mail and get blasted by the horn just about when I am directly in front of my Raptor. It can be very embarrassing, like when I agreed to just quickly and quietly drop off a package on the doorstep of my neighbor's house late in the evening and the horn blasts once when I exit the vehicle and then again when I open the passenger door to grab the package.

* A warning, "approaching railroad crossing". This announcement seems to be hit or miss and comes on at full volume over the Raptor sound system. I didn't (intentionally) turn it on and so far can't find out how to turn it off. There are 4 railroad crossings (all exempt) in the 10 miles between my house and the nearest major city. For the first 6 months of ownership the RR crossing announcement never happened. For the past week it has been announcing irregularly for about two of the four crossings every trip I make to town.

If I were about to see someone about modifying Raptor programming, I would definitely try to get these two features permanently turned off.

Thanks for the response! YES, the horn blast is annoying as hell. Bet it can be turned off.

I have crossed a few railroad crossings and have not had that warning, yet…

There is only one thing that I REALLY need to change. I need to increase the top speed limit from 107 mph to a much more realistic 130 mph. When I’m at the “track”, and running 107 mph with a TPS reading less than 30 %, ”Houston, we have a problem!”. I’m running the Ford performance tune with a COBB Intercooler, K&N air filter, TS BOV, and Amsoil oil/filter…..that truck comes barreling up to 107 mph like it’s not even trying. That truck has a lot more left on The table, so let me change over to a set of properly speed rated tires, and change that limit! 😉

They are not, iirc. The first is in the regular menu on the center stack. Can't remember where though.

There is a setting in navigation to turn warnings like RR, school zones, etc on or off. And the volume for these is the same as other nav volume (mine are off or the lowest tone possible). I found those buried in the nav settings only recently, and I was doing other stuff when I found them, so definitely no idea where but they were buried under something that isn't normal route guidance stuff (like where you'd turn off avoid toll roads).

I've been wanting the same thing. Only reason we have it is due to tire speed rating, so keep that in mind when you're at the track. Turn in your TPMS temp setting in forscan. Very helpful for speed runs.

(“ = sarcasm/on) Track (“ = sarcasm/off)

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor

Have you noticed any changes with the intercooler? Any more power, how is your charge temps? Any loss in boost pressure?

As long as I’m moving, I’m hard pressed to get the charge temp more than a couple degrees above ambient. You definitely notice more sustainable power, but the intercooler does have a lot more volume, so I’ve noticed a little more lag in turbo response. With the Ford tune and the COBB intercooler, this thing is an absolute beast that just has no limit…..except the hard stop at 107mph.
