Not a fan of drop ins but have had a handful of trucks that came with them over the years. Trick my Grandfather taught me was to get camper shell foam tape and run strips of it down the bed and high rub areas over the wheel humps before dropping it in. Cut down considerably any of the rubbing issues with them.

Been kicking around the idea of getting the keypad also.
From what I’ve found and witnessed, I agree with you on the older full liners. However, this modular unit doesn’t move around at all. I don’t believe there going to be an issue with rubbing.👍🇺🇸

What’s the distance between the wheel wells with the drop in liner? 48”*

There will be rubbing and water will get trapped there. Is it going to cause an issue for the amount of time you own the truck, probably not, but 6-10 years from now it will. :thumbsup: 🏳️‍🌈

I had the keypad installed on a 2015 F150. It is a great feature and would have it installled on my Ranger if they have changed them. The battery on the one I had from Ford accessories on the 15 wasn’t replaceable It lasted 4 years then was done. Can you replace the battery on the new ones ?

Haven’t noticed and we live at over 6K ft in NM. Temps are hovering around the 100 degree mark as well. Go figure!👍🇺🇸
@RANGER/HOBB Where are you at in NM? My wife was from Silver City. I really liked the area.

I'll probably get the keypad. A friend had one on her explorer and it was so convenient if you needed access to the car without keys. Although, with the ford app on your phone, you can still get in and out of locked truck via that means...

North of Albuquerque. Personally, it’s quicker than using the app.👍🇺🇸

Ranger/Hobbs, I tried installing my modular bedliner today and had problems right off the bat. Ford used a ton of red lock tight on the tie down bracket bolts and the first one near the tailgate stripped out. I even heated it to 195 degrees before hand after trying the top one and it didn't help. There were only directions for the floor and tailgate but not the bulk head or sides. No need for directions except that it would have been nice to tell us that the bulk head needed to go on first before the bottom. Ok, rant over. So did you have any problems with getting the tie down bolts out? Also, the package didn't come with the hold 2 down brackets at the bulk head but it did come with 8 small square stickers but I don't know where to put them. Stickers look like anti scratch pad kind of. What to do think? Thanks.

No stripping of bolts, you need to use an impact gun to do it correctly. Anything else will cause the bolt heads to strip out. The pads are ot anti-scratch pads but bracket holders for the two rear corner brackets, as noted in the instructions

The installations guides are on the FORD Dealer website, with all the install instructions naturally. You have to be able to access them directly.

I haven’t looked thru all available here, bit I believe most all the accessory instructions are here;

https://www.motorcraftservice.com/InstructionSheets

I found the install instructions after a search; Take a look its available here;

https://www.fordservicecontent.deal...anger_PICKUP_BOX_LINER_and_TAILGATE_LINER.pdf. Hope this helps!👍🇺🇸

+1 on what he said. I had to remove and reinstall a couple bed tie downs when I installed my swingcase storage box and a cordless impact made the job a breeze.

Thinking of ordering the keypad through Ford Parts and having the dealer program it. I ordered it factory installed in my 2021. I ended up removing it from the door and sticking it to the inside of the fuel filler door. Out of the way, out of sight, still works.
