Thanks, I'll try reaching out to them too to see if they can send me some longer ones.
The ones I got from DSampson, that he said he got from Flou have the clamp bolt lower, so the top face of the bracket can flush with the underside of the cover, which stops the warping problem that required the spacers in the first place., they also have modified longer side brace bolts. I found i didn't need them though, so didn't install them. The took a bit if finagling, but i got the cover to roll in and out smoothly, very little drag. 👍

I reached out to them, they replied the next day and said they will send me "updated bracket" and attached a picture. It looks like it's just a set of spacers and longers screws for the existing brackets, which should solve the warping and binding problem (hopefully).

I was thinking to eventually (a year from now probably) put a t-slot bed rack and a tent on it, but now I'm not so sure if I would trust this cover to hold 200lbs of dynamic weight... Will probably need to re-think my setup when the time comes.

They have a better bracket- see the pick. I still eneded up having to use a small spacer to keep things flat. I could eliminate the the small block, but i'd have to trim the foam on the cover, not needed right now. If i were you, I'd push for a free set of the extended brackets, also with the spacers, and then I'd buy a second set for a total of 8, 4 per side. that should handle the load? Hope you have your Bed J-brackets done if your truck needs them.

I'm eyeballing this cover--thanks. Do you think I would need to get ahead of it and ask for the "better" brackets on order? I am a little concerned about the idea that a 2-person T-slot tent might be sketch with this cover.. fortunately I have a '25 built in Feb of this year so I don't believe I need to be concerned about the J-brackets.

Thanks!

Hm, if I’m interpreting the instructions correctly (they're rather poorly translated), that small metal block in your picture is meant to go between the bed rail and the plastic cover—right where the bracket clamps onto the bed. It helps fill the gap between the metal bed rail and the plastic piece to ensure the brackets clamp securely and don’t slide.

yes, i'm miss using them, but the instructions were trash, i felt a hands on approach would work better. I would't accept the spacers as a fix, get the deeper correct brackets if you're able. My install is very stable, but four more brackets might be in order if I was gonna buy anything on top of the cover.

D Sampson above complained to Flowkottu and got the right brackets, he had an extra set when I bought off of him. I just put them on last week and they fit perfect..
Correct, except my cover is slightly different, the brand is Willmoso.

I contacted the company I bought it from (Sadeloos - bought through Temu - ugh!!) to purchase additional brackets. I'll tell you, it was a weird transaction, but I was able to get them and they were inexpensive. I did this because I wasn't sure if two brackets per side would be strong enough. After I installed it, it was really pretty sturdy with just the two brackets per side, so I sold the extra brackets.

I want to note that before I installed it, I made and installed spacers under the stake bed caps (to make it more sturdy as well). I then sealed the stake bed caps with neutral curing silicone. I also sealed along the bed between the plastic trim piece and top of the truck bed. I'm using a tailgate seal kit as well, and everything in the bed is staying dry, no leaks.

Another note: The bigger flat top piece/cover of the roll up canister (part M2 from the instructions) was slightly bent when I received it, damaged in shipping I guess. I didn't think it was a big deal at the time, so I didn't do anything about it right away. Well, it started to bug me, so I contacted Sadeloos on Temu to see if I could purchase a replacement part from them. They ended up shipping me an entire new tonneau cover at no charge. I have a completely unopened new tonneau cover sitting in my garage now. So I have every spare part, including 4 additional clamps. Trying to decide if I'll sell parts of it, or just sell the whole tonneau for cheap after I replace my bent part.
