Exterior Side Mirror Glass Replacement

Anyone know the procedure for replacing the exterior mirror glass on the Raptor. My mirror on the drivers side has several scratches and I want to replace the glass.

I tried to polish it and made it worse.

Do these pop out of the mirror housing? I’ve not done one on a Ranger so I’m simply not aware. If anyone has access to the shop procedure or manual, I appreciate reference and illustration. Thank you for the assistance.

Well after allot of research; I believe these simply pop out with pulling the outside top corner with a quick sharp pull. They’re heated and have a temp sensor on the outside edge. This applies to all next generation exterior mirrors.

I’ll know for sure when I get them. This time no polishing, just cleaning and sealing. Be careful when using any kind of abrasive cleaner. These are the only mirrors I’ve ever had problems with.

The quality of the mirror glass is not real high quality. They tend to scratch rather easily. Lesson learned.
