Exhaust hangers

Is anybody aware if the muffler hangers are more of a sacrificial anode. I looked under the truck and notice they are not painted or coated, nor are they rusting. It looks like they are meant to fall apart before something else.

Aluminized steel or stainless steel like exhaust systems so they don't rust easily.
