they also advertise no cutting of metal or plastic, but in order to get the pinch brackets on.. you’d have to drill through your pinch weld. Something I’m not comfortable with.
You have to drill in the body to mount the rails?!

No,that picture to me looks like they are mounted in the same holes the brackets for the factory step rais are bolted to. They basically took the step rail off and reused the oem holes.

I ordered rock sliders from Rocky Road for my 02 Ranger many years ago. They mounted to the frame using mostly existing holes. A few holes had the be drilled in the frame though.

The problem I ran into was the Ranger that they used for fitting the sliders had a body lift and wojuld not fit my Ranger. Apparently they were not aware of that. They did accept a return on then because I am not a believer in body lifts. The sliders did look to be good quality.

I decided not to install sliders. I was on the fence about installing sliders but liked the Rocky Road sliders. After they did not fit, I fell on the side of the fence to not install.

I have never had sliders but all my friends that I spend time in the remote wilderness with kept telling me I need them. So, I decided to try it. In my nearly 50 years of running off-road with many of those miles being very rough, I have neve gotten any body damage that a slider would have prevented. In fact, the only damage I have encountered other than bashes on the skid plates was a smashed tail pipe on my first off-road vehicle a 1973 FJ55 Landcruiser.

There is a company out in Kalamazoo mi that has sliders for the 19-23 Ranger...I'm hoping that they are tooling some for the 24 and up
JcrOffroad.com
I contacted them and asked if they were going to do it, and they said they have brought it up but no current plans with no expectations of an R&D truck. I let them know they can use mine for R&D if they would like as I live an hour away.

@Icemilkteaa, I can't thank you enough for posting this!!!! I was a week out from picking my already paid for Rocky Road Outfitter Kicker Sliders (with full panel) when you posted this. Given the picture on their website with the forklift lifting up half of the truck by the slider, I assumed they were frame mounted. I did some subsequent digging (ran across video below that was not at all flattering) and then called RRO to discuss. They were very defensive and told me I was "overthinking it" because I wanted to be able to open my doors after taking a direct impact from a rock on the rock sliders. I told them to send me any test videos they had proving they were sufficient and/or any positive testimonials and got radio silence. I subsequently cancelled my order the next day. I will say on a positive note, they fully refunded me quickly (again, while paid for, my sliders were still at their facility). Thanks again and now the search for body mounted sliders begins.

Well fuck. My rocky roads show up tomorrow. I wonder if I keep them in the box if I can hand deliver them on my way to RR assault school. Addicted dessert designs, make freaking sliders, no one needs your bumper, we ALL need sliders.

And then I thought, there is no way the Aussies are running fords weak ass step on the way to the cape. So I did a quick google. I just sent them an email asking if they would do a group shipment to the states, obviously we would need some footage of these things breaking the outback, but this may be the solution.

Well I was talking to those shops and no word, and I need these things yesterday. So
I told rocky road I want to send mine back, they kept claiming the strength. They show up at my po box, its not a post office its real chill. So I go to check return shipping using pirate ship, and its 160$ and there is no way I would expect rocky road to pay, they didn't do any thing wrong I missed they were bolt on. So I leave them at the po box, hoping to hear back from the aussies but nothing. So im at my. local fab shop, they are working on another project for me, and asked them what they thought. And they said short of the rubacon, which I would never do in my truck, the bolt ons should be fine for my use.

So ill be putting my rock roads on this weekend, photos to follow.

@millertime496, seeing your post late but just in case you haven't put your RRO sliders on yet, check these out. They have been modified to now fit 2024. I'm going to ask for some pictures on a Ranger Raptor, assuming they have some and send, I will post here. If they look good I will probably go this route.
