I have a garmin tread overland I’ll be moving between my Bronco (loads of dash mount options) and the Ranger (kinda none).
I figured I would try to make something work.
got the ram mount 1.5” ball as the garmin unit requires. Pics should be self explanatory. I’m ok with the result. However when underway the garmin acts like a lever and trys to pull up the front of the speaker grill.
My ideal solution would be a molle panel formed in the shape of the speaker grill that would replace the speaker grill.

Why do you need to mount your phone? CarPlay connects my iPhone and then I toss the phone to the right of the wireless charging pad. If it needs charging I plug in the USB-C wire from my 4 port hub.

It’s not for a phone. It’s for a garmin tread.

You ask this everytime. It's obvious other people have different needs than your own

I like it a lot. Between the bronco and Ranger I’m off grid frequently so having local maps, satellite comms and adventure routing I really like it.

Two updates:
1. I emailed Built Right Industries to see if they had anything in the works.
2. I ordered the Ram Seat Mount kit. They say it’s for seats 11.5” on center and that’s exactly what my bronco has and the Ranger has. So I got 1 mount and 2 base plates so I can easily swap between each vehicle when a trip is coming up!

I’ll report back when they’re installed to tell the tale if it works.

Dang I like that. Look forward to how it turns out. I’d use that for a tablet or laptop for sure.

Funny you should comment today. I just finished the install on the raptor.
1. I made a hole through the floor mat for the optional stabilizer foot.
2. I used a tap-a-fuse in fuse 35. 5amp, and linked to the ignition. Same as the bronco.
3. running the wire along the firewall behind the center console was a bit tricky. In the bronco there’s daylight there. In the Ranger there’s almost none. A coat hanger solved the problem.
4. while the kit comes with 2 arms, I removed one and made the extension shorter.

I liked this setup because you can loosen the top nut, and the passenger can put the gps in from of them to nav and enter waypoints and stuff.

it really didn’t infringed on leg room for me or my family. YMMV.

The Garmin tread is a great platform, mounting is a little lacking for this truck, I like your dash mount idea!

Looks great, wife would kill me though.
Agreed, it takes up too much passenger seat area and also blocks the main screen. I'll wait till there's a dash mount bar like I have in my Jeep.
