Since buying my 2024 xlt I have found that the fact that the rear seat latch is on the passenger side is a pain. Is it possible to switch the latch to the other side?

I agree. Not a convenient decision for the US model. Probably great for other non-US markets with their drivers side opposite.

I assumed the OP was referring to the seat back tilting forward-which in my truck the release is in between the middle and passenger head rest. I said to myself the other day when I was fixing my slamming to latch issue, "this would be more convenient if it was on the drivers side."

The seat bottom in my truck can be lifted from either side.

I don't care where it is located I would just be happy getting it to work! I doubt it could be done without a lot of work. The back of the seat would have to be modified along with the back of the cab where the striker is located.

Yes, it is the seat tilting forward to access behind. I was hoping it might not be a complicated issue since I have seen a modification kit for previous ford trucks without the latch. luckily I have not been having the latch not latching issue.

Just need a different latch mechanism that releases being pulled from the side.
