ok now we need the exhaust for the 3.0
If the muffler is anything like the 5gs the Borla should be alot less restrictive. Other than that just sound. What are the benefits?

Borla makes an impressive product all around- and you can't go wrong with a product that includes a million-mile warranty. And yes, less restrictive for better exhaust flow that can lead to gains in horsepower. If the muffler is anything like the 5gs the Borla should be alot less restrictive. Other than that just sound.
I purchased a GM Performance muffler through Borla about 8 years ago for my Silverado. It had a great sound, with no drone. Granted, that was a cammed V8, but maybe with twin pipes the little 2.3L, may not sound that bad.Borla makes an impressive product all around- and you can't go wrong with a product that includes a million-mile warranty. Was the system you had on your 5G from Borla or Ford Performance? From my conversations with Borla, the GM and Ford Performance mufflers are a touring design and quieter than the Borla Type-S systems they sell on their website. Also, was your system single pipe or dual pipe exit?I had this on my 5G Ranger.
Always been a fan of Borla exhausts.
It sounds HORRIBLE on the 2.3L EB.
Stay away!!!
