There is no optimal setting for everyone. I hear things you dont and you hear things I dont. Also, source material and genre on top of that make a huge difference. And recording quality.

Best I can say is play around with it on your own, playing some of your favorite songs, from the source you are most often using.

Have mine set 1 from max on treble , mid and 4 up on Bass, Surround sound mode , does ok with radio and Sat.

The key to making them sound better is a real sub. If you add a 10” sub and 150+ watt amp with the keyloc they come alive.

I'm at plus 2 on the treble and plus 4 on the sub. Mid is at 0, and set pretty far back and a bit to the right. Sounds great, takes a hit on volume because of the rear bias, but, hey, it works.

Where are you taping in for input leads/speaker wires. I am guessing we still need to tap the battery for power. ine didnt have the sub and I dont see any wiring left behind to use.

Kicker keyloc, plug and play just add power for the amp.
