Amber DRL Conversion Options

So I was browsing the internet looking for some way to convert the white DRL lights to amber on my RRaptor and came across the below modules. It looks to me like it's just an LED driver swap, which is interesting since I was thinking the LEDs in the housing were naturally white. Has anyone used this company before or have any alternatives? For the price, I'm willing to be the Guinea pig and try them out

There's a couple other threads with discussion on this approach but no one has committed. They were listed on Aliexpress and a lot cheaper. Positive these are exactly the same down to the name and photos. AliExpress JHO Amber Module. Tempting.

Oh wow those are definitely the exact same ones. I tried finding threads on the conversion but I guess my Google-fu is getting pretty rusty.

I definitely like the price better on the Ali express listing. The main listing is out of stock, but I found them from an alternative seller. Looks like I'll be the sacrificial lamb, I just placed my order. Fingers crossed I don't get a bag of rocks or fry my headlights with them

Hopefully they are bright. Look kinda dim on the ali express video to me. They look good though. It would be cool if you could switch between the two colors.

They must have pulled down the video, I can't seem to find one linked on the page. Worst case scenario, I can play with the resistors and try to get some more output from them.

The order confirmation says it will be shipped in 9 days, so now it's a waiting game

Sure enough, looks like the same to me. Also looks like the same lead time for delivery, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was a drop shipper account or maybe even the same seller on Ali Express.

I now have an estimated delivery date of 11/20 so we've got some time to speculate

* DO NOT BUY THESE* I bought these about a month ago. First thing, getting the metal led diode plate off the light is damn near impossible. Maybe you have hands the size of an infants to reach where the three bolts connect to the plate but i don’t. When I finally got the plate off, a tiny connector broke with a very light tug. Once I got the LED diode plate off I held it up to the one that was sent, and they are completely different shape and the bolt holes do not lineup. I suppose they are for the matrix LED headlight that the rest of the world gets. So not only did I have a useless part, I also have a broken headlight that has no LED drive light.. lucky me, I found a used OEM headlight on eBay that was completely scratched to hell and broken for the low price of $400 dollars because Ford does not sell that individual diode plate. So I took the LED plate off the eBay light and put it on my original light and it only took about six hours. Lol

Well that's very good to know, I remember seeing in one listing that it was specifically for US spec headlights but the ones I ordered listed T9 Ranger so now I'm thinking I'd have the same issue as you.

When you say you struggled to get the plate off, do you mean the heat sink from the back of the housing? Did you remove the headlight from the truck first or was this with them installed? I'm asking because maybe it's easier for me to pull a headlight and solder on my own LEDs to that plate on my workbench
